Chris.. A chicklets stand! Still laughing! Im gonna steal that line from u. Now seriously, Its kinda hard to admit this, but I am getting frustrated with the ACA myself. I have overlooked the startup problems, but the issues of forcing people to lose their existing coverage and into a higher price policy is unacceptable. I hope that your co keeps you covered. Supposedly, illeagals will not qualify for enrollment or financial subsides in these plans, but Im not sure what to believe anymore.
VOICE OF... The ACAs problems are widely reported. Even PBS is covering it, so its not only Fox. Chris and people like him have every right to be concerned.

Voice of reason, say's every other program had problems rolling out, I'm sure that's true but i Wasn't alive when social security was rolled out so I don't know, But I'm doubting, it was this big of a mess. How are they going to FIX Millions losing their insurance, and being offered no affordable alternative?

Soc Sec and medicare had their problems, but it was a different world then. In the 30s there was no tv or internet. Medicare was in the 60s with no internet. I can remember the 60s, and the only thing that I recall was the GOP opposing it. Medicare part d came out duriing GWBs term. There were problems but nothing like now. ACA is turning into a disaster.

Yes, I do agree that it is a concern. And yes it looks bad that the system is not up and running 100% correctly. Yet, all these glitches will be fixed (especially now that everyone is watching and waiting) NOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT IS THE FACT THE REPUBLICANS NOW WANT TO SHUT THE HOLE THING DOWN BECAUSE OF SOME PROBLEMS THAT WILL BE FIXED. AND IF YOU LISTEN TO THE DOOM AND GLOOM MEDIA (FOX, RUSH) YOU WOULD THINK IT IS THE END OF THE WORLD.(THEY ALSO SAID THE SAME ABOUT SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE) THESE GUYS SOUND LIKE GD DOOMS DAY A-HOLES. YES, THERE ARE SOME GLITCHES AND YES IF THEY DON'T GET IT FIXED BY DECEMBER EVEN I WILL GET ANGRY BUT UNTIL THEN CALM DOWN AND GET OFF THE LEDGE. P>>s. HEY OLD JOHN, IF YOU KNOW YOUR HISTORY YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THE REPUBLICANS ARE FAMOUS FOR DOING JUST THIS, APPOSING LAWS LIKE SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE THAT WERE INTRODUCED BY DEMOCRATS TO HELP MILLIONS OF AMERICANS).I think you are falling into the trap of watching to much Fox. JUST SAYING.

Does anyone else find this "Mystery" barge off the san francisco coast really odd?. There is something really suspicious about it, and there is another one off the coast of Maine. Why the secrecy? And why the need to have a google headquarters off shore? What do you think john? Are you up there in frisco?

Only watch fox for entertainment sometimes. If u read my previous posts, u would see that i brought up that that the GOP has been on the wrong side of the social assistance programs. And I have pointed out that there are some glitches in all new systems.. its not the glitches that Im worried about. Health ins for all is a good thing. But when people have to get more expensive coverage, thats wrong. Im not sure if its the ins cos or the ACA law itself that is causing this, but it appears that the problem does exists.

Hey voice of reason,Before you double down entirely,Have you even tried to read the ACA Law? i have a long way to go,And a lot is very hard to comprehend but maybe you should take a look,There is a lot of ugly vague things in there. http://www.hhs.gov/healthcare/rights/law/

I agree John, My take is it's both the insurance companies as well as the ACA law, Because rates do go up every year, but not nearly as high of a percentage as with the aca,As i'm starting to read is a lot of the increases that are so high is because the standard bare bones policy, with most insurance companies don't meet the ACA's requirements therefor, these insurance companies have to scrap the plans that don't qualify, and round up to one that meets, The AcA's requirement,(I don't understand where govt thinks it knows the best LEVEL of coverage a person needs, THAT Should be made by the individual)

There are many misconceptions out there about ObamaCare and that is one of them. It will not cost people more money and they can keep the same coverage if they want (yet they will get a better deal and more benefits with Obamacae) The problem is in the information (to little since many cant go on line yet) In fact this is just like RomneyCare which also had many glitches (only 100 people signed up the first month) but little by little 40,000 singed up and they love it!!(Like i said give it time, This will be a great law)

VOICE..I am a left leaning independant, and was very happy that this bill was passed. I defended it then, and for the past 3 years. I know that the glitches will be fixed, that doesnt worry me. But the fact that people will lose their coverage does bother me.Believe this is happening because that ins. doesnt cover enough according to the ACAs guidelines. Like I have said, watch PBS newshour. They are not biased and do a good job of telling it like it is

PBS is not bias but they are misinformed. No one will lose their coverage these are the misrepresentations that i'm talking about. Right now the Republicans are throwing out non-truths that will be proven wrong once Obamacare gets going. PBS is just reporting what the right is saying (Did you hear about that guy Hannity who got caught bringing in peiople to talk about Obama care yet, what they were saying was wrong.) DON'T BELIEVE THE Hype! Obamacare is here to help people unlike you know who (tea party republicans)

Voice..I know that the GOP has a great spin machine, but the problems are true. When ALL media are reporting the same thing, there must be something to it. The idea is good but the plan itself is flawed.

I think the biggest problem is the cost, premiums are averaging 50-100% increases, by switching, but the Deductibles,Are even higher,Hey i'm all for better coverage at an affordable price,Who wouldn't be? But what good is that really going to do if no-one can afford the deductible, Or the premiums, And there's a clause in there that leaves the ACA open for changing,Thus if X-Amount of YOUNG healthy people refuse to sign up,Guess what,The premiums and deductibles will go higher, or it will collapse.

MILLIONS Are losing their coverage, I will probably lose mine,Because the wording in the law states, you can keep your coverage, If you signed up before march 2010, but only if there were no changes in premium rates or levels of coverage. With that being said Anyone that Has insurance knows, the rates go up EVERY Year,Thus disqualifying most everyone from keeping there coverage.NONE OF THIS WAS MENTIONED BY THE PRESIDENT which to me is not transparent, but rather deceiving

Chris... I had to smile a bit after reading ur post and the link u supplied. I didnt read anything about rafts and snorkels so ur either over reaching or joking. You.gottasgree that the climate change issues are alarming though. NY and NJ had Sandi, the UK was hit by epic storms this yr, the So Pacific had unusual weather, and the winds in Austrailia are feeding massive fires. Climate is changing. The last 2 yrs US citizens have paid 300 dollars each for the disasters. Either way we are gonna pay.

OMG!! YAHOO NEWS IS A RIGHT WING NEWS ORGINIZATION THAT GETS MOST OF ITS NEWS FROM FOX NEWS. IN FACT, On August 29, 2012, Yahoo News fired Washington bureau chief David Chalian after he made a disparaging comment about Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his wife Ann Romney during the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida. With Hurricane Isaac entering Louisiana, Chalian suggested that "They're not concerned at all. They're happy to have a party with black people drowning
