Arnold, i take it you couldnt be a public servant, maybe your background check didn't pan out.
You are a fool and a lazy government worker.
I had a county job, decided I wanted to work for a living, I quit in 1990, no regrets.
Great in sight to the public servant career mentality. Man up and step away from the public trough.

Hemet Police has one of the best records in southern California!! If you do your homework you will see that they have higher safety ratings then any other dept in our area. On top of that they are being cut like crazy!!! Who ever didn't vote yes on Mearsure O should know it is their fault good officers are being laid off!!!!!!!!!

Considering all the trash the "affordable housing" brought to Hemet I think the Hemet Police are doing an excellent job. The locals just need to do what they have always done best: run their mouths and complain. Word of mouth is what small towns do best and I mean that in a good way. Stay in contact with your neighbors and keep an eye on what is happening in your neighborhoods. If we are all vigilant and work together as citizens then we can do OUR PART in running the trash out. Go Hemet PD!!!

It seems that these tough times have had quite the impact on HPD. From what I've read, they've eliminated 29 officer positions. That being said, the arrests are still way up! I think that you have to take the good with the bad and refrain from judgment based on one encounter that didn't go your way. After all, the courts decide who stays in jail and who doesn't, not the cops! I support Hemet PD all the way. Good job, guys!

The Hemet Police departments slow response to calls is just another scam to get you to vote for another tax later down the road. We are taxed to high the way it is. Hemet should just contract the police department out an get rid of it..

You must not live in the unincorporated area Michael! You are crazy to even mention it. It is not uncommon for the Sheriff to arrive days after we call, or not at all. That's after your on hold with 911 forever!

NEWS FLASH! MEASURE 'O' VOTED DOWN BY CITIZENS!
The Hemet Police Department cut 29 officer positions after the city reported a $5.1 million budget defecit in early 2009.

Yet, the Hemet Police Department maintains the highest clearance rates in the entire county. That means they make more arrests than any other agency and that more crooks get convicted as a result.

Take a look at what it costs Temecula, Moreno Valley and San Jacinto to contract out to the Sheriff's Department. The fugures will blow your mind.

San Jacinto alone pays nearly three times what it did when they had their own department. Yet, the number of officers remains about the same.

Just curious Mr. Warren, what type of incident did you have and how long did you have to wait for HPD to arrive?

My daughter and her three kids were staying with her ex boyfriends mom sister and ex. The mom and moms daughters friend severely beat my daughter unconscious, fist, phone and kicked her in the face. While my 7 yr old granddaughter and two boys watched. The police came and said all they could do is issue a citation, really what happened to assault with a weapon and go to jail.
They didn't take pictures, the officer dropped them off at a motel. Really no report no arrest . I hope Karma gives back to the responding officer what my daughter went through. What happened to serve and protect? Useless idiots now serve of cities. Sad day in Hemet

I called the police due to an altercation with a neighbor who was getting high on my steps, assaulted me and then began walking down the street with a bottle of booze in his hand.
The police said they contacted the guy and he was not under the influence.
WTF, he was on my steps getting high, thats what the whole altercation was about, the stuff happens continually.
Whats with the police? They have been called numerous times and do nothing, they pulled up later in the evening about all the people hanging out and asked what was going on, they said something (about 5 words), the cop said ok and left.
My manager will do nothing, the cops will do nothing, I cant afford to move, I'm stuck with my family being in danger, the guy flips out and has destroyed his apartment, his electrical is faulty (jambs a screwdriver in a outlet for it to work).
Hemet is becoming a pile of sh!t.
I agree with you. Video tapping is the best way to prove a case. You have to make the police watch the video and hope they don't make a joke out of your situation as has been done with mine. State that you want charges pressed. Becareful who you trust.
