What the hell has happened to Hemet? I very well know i didn't just wake up one day and it was all like this. Ive lived here all my life and have watched this city slowly decline into what it is today. Hemet is just like Gotham city, but no one is coming to save us.

Can't disagree with that. People can't afford to live in the cities and are moving out this way. Unfortunately they seem to have no personal pride and are lazy to boot. It appears that many are on welfare and seem content to stay there. We need our city council to quit soliciting for these loosers and for our government to quit rewarding people who refuse to support themselves and their offspring. Its just depressing all the way around. It use to be this Valley was known for all the roses blooming during the Ramona Pageant when outsiders were coming through town. Now is just an embarrassment. They probably wonder what the heck they're driving through.

Wow yes haha i think the same exact thing when i see people who are clearly just passing through! You can tell they just want to get their gas and chips and continue on their way to a finer destination. Hemet use to be a spot where people loved to be now its hell.

Remember when you drove down Florida ave and it was lined with orange trees, banks and decent residents walking the streets?
This is the result of the three housing booms '88,'95 and '02. With each one the city leaders sold out more of hemet for a quick buck that lines their own pockets while other surrounding cities focused on an infrastructure that would continue to sustain without the help of goverment handouts.
Greed and Poor oversight by elected officials, and there's not enough left that care or that can take any time away from putting food on the table to stand up and turn the city around. If it can even be turned around at this point. What can you do, kick everyone out and bulldoze? It's already got a foothold.
To answer the question " what do people think when they visit or drive thru this town"?
Answer: Lock the car doors.
That's the 1st think my family says when they come out to visit.

I do remember all the apricot, walnut, and orange groves. Roses were blooming in Howard Rose fields and in everybody's yards. Alfalfa fields were all around. Now the yards are unkept, the loosers walking on Florida Ave. are in hot pants or pimped out, running across the streets waiting for their welfare checks. I don't think we have to give up though. Some small steps are being made, we just have to keep up the pressure on the City council members.

This city welcomed these losers. And they want them to stay by bringing in more Liquor stores, dollar stores, and their all time favorites dd's and fellas. They are now happy here and so called city leaders like Linda Krupa want to bring in more sec 8. Make these people unwelcome and they will leave. Fore example, do back ground checks on all renters and make the owners responsible. start eliminating sec 8, Get rid of low class stores and bring in nicer retail stores (which they don't like to go in to) Have the police check cars with limo tint, broken tail lights, expired tags etc.. etc... Trust me they will not like this!!! These are the steps that need to be done in order to have a chance and turn this city around.

I agree 100%. I think these loosers should move into Linda's neighborhood and see if she still is a bleeding heart!?
