HEMET: CHP to start patrolling Florida Avenue
Anyone with the urge to speed down Florida Avenue or jaywalk across Hemet's main thoroughfare better get it out of their system before Monday, because that's when traffic enforcement will be increased.

Funny how the City of Hemet has to pay extra dollars in order for the CHP to patrol a California State Highway. Isn't that the CHP's job in the first place?
I work my job every day for my paycheck, but if you pay me MORE, I will actually DO my job!

TWO CHP patrolling 10 hrs a day, notice I said day....just for a month.
I sure hope they cite these jaywalkers. I can't say how many I have almost hit in the last 3 years. They have to be idiots to keep trying to cross Florida Ave.
I really do not see much speeding, cause there are to many cars on that highway anyway.

Nighway 74 is a highway, start to end. Therefore CHP responsibility...Does not matter that it "becomes" Florida Ave...still State responsibility. Prove me wrong.

Highway mis-spelled...it's late....sorry.
