While we're trying to get rid of the sec 8's, can we get rid of all the perv.s who live here also? Like they are on every other block and concentrated on Florida Ave. Why do we have to take all the child molesters?

read a interesting article how investment companies like Blackstone group (the same company who bought hilton and sent the hemet jobs overseas taking over 1 million a month out of the local economy and basically killing hemet)are buying houses and getting into the rental business.. I truly believe the problem with social programs in this country is that they are set up to benefit the wealthy.. I know most people call the mom / kids on section 8 moochers but the corps like blackstone that actually get to own houses and have the mortgage paid for by the taxpayer are just super smart business people.. 1 group is getting subsidized (not free) rent and 1 group is getting free property.. who is the moocher again?

the low lifes who r too lazy to get off their fat lazy asses n sober up to get a job the bottom line is this if americans didnt feel so "entitled" to everything n were willing to work for a lessor amount of pay then the next man(not counting benefits n bonuses)maybe big corportations would stay nationaly n not go to other countries think about all the loop holes n taxes a business owner has to endure to operate here in the U.S. especially here in C.A. C.A. is actually the strictest so again....think hard about why employers r going outside of the U.S.?

So go buy yourself some houses. That probably is just "super smart business." Meanwhile as long as I'm not subsudizing anybody, I'm O.K. with it. If the moochers didn't need housing, then investors wouldn't be investing.(supply and demand)The investors have to make their payment one way or the other. I heard those Hilton employees had the choice of moving, to someplace like Florida or something. Somewhere with better tax laws. We are being taxed to death in this state. That Hilton closing was a big loss for this Valley. Everybody is always saying there are no jobs in the Valley, then we loose out. It's nice to see the Skyline property coming to life. I sure hope they make a go of it. Meanwhile our neighborhoods look like Compton.

no i wouldn't feel good about making the tax payers buy me a house. these smart businessman as you call em also stand in the way of entitlement reform as well so i dont care who says what they are moochers as well.. as far as hilton leaving YES those jobs went oversea which entitled all employees to extra UI benefits had the jobs NOT gone overseas those extra benefits would not of been given.. some were given options to move to texas and work part time

I just used your words, "smart business people."
Those property owners have a property for rent. The City of Hemet takes grant monies, and for them to get the money we have to take so many of the section 8's and it looks like all the pervs. Then we have a bunch on welfare with their EBT cards. That coupled with the ones abusing disability, we have a whole city of takers. A whole nation looking at getting on the public dole. Some of the ones working, dare I bring up Wal Mart, are complaining, of their work hours, not getting holidays off, boo, hoo, hoo! When I was first hired, I just knew it was a given I'd get all the crap coming my way. But this is a free country, it doesn't suit you, move on. Quit looking for free housing, free food, free medical, free phone, did I leave anything out?

Well I'll give ya that one! All the crooks end up in D.C. Since they are busy fleecing the American taxpayer, I guess they want to help everybody else do the same.

You should have to work for your benefits. There is plenty of public work that needs to be done in this state. I put my panty hose and heels on to go to work, have to be on time, so should the welfare takers. Shouldn't be any free lunch. Have some respect for yourselves and the taxpayers who you are mooching from.

You are incorrect. There are a large number of Section 8 Households who's portion of the rent is zero. Then they also receive a check/assistance to pay their utilities. All funded by taxpayers, who most likely are their neighbors who get up and go to work to pay their rent/mortgage and the rent for Section 8 participants.
This assistance should be given to people unable to work, such as our disabled/elderly/Veterans. Not people who CHOOSE to not work due to LAZINESS.
There is no time limit as to how long the Section 8 participants receive these benefits. Therefore you create a family who's only goal in life is to live off hard working taxpayers.
We don't need to import lazy people from other counties into our neighborhoods. It sets a precedence and makes the hard working people wonder, why someone who chooses to work is worse off then the lazy section 8 neighbor who chooses not to.
Our section 8 neighbor owns a newer Lexus and Dodge Durango. They party all night. Their children run around unsupervised all day, while their Mom sleeps.
Socialism is what it is. Free rent, utilities paid, cash aid/welfare pays their car payments, food stamps buys their food, Medi-cal pays their health insurance, free education-childcare for their children. While the hard working citizens next door struggles. Socialism.
I agree ....
I have been a IHSS provider since 2008, I pay taxes, so I feel I have a right to grip . The youth of today see if I have a kid I don't have to work . I can go to the mall , buy nice cars . Get the hair & nails done. Nice cell phones. Banging clothes and shoes. While the kids look all ghetto. No school supplies, no clothes . Mac n cheese, top Raman & TV dinners and kool-aid does not make a healthy meal every night. I work my butt off in life , yet I can't get any medical assistance. My husband of 2 yrs is a Veteran , and in SSI. Now that we r married. The first $85.00 I make . It is free n clear . For every $100.00 I make the Government TAKES $50.00 from my husband SSI check. Now because he is only 50% disable . He is not untitled to use the commissary or the BX at the base. And only with his DD214 he can get some discounts. He is not untitled to get a Military ID. Yet he was a Ranger and was hurt while active serving this Country. I have to prove to the County that I work for I don't get his medical benefits. Every time I get one foot closer I get knocked back 10.
We understand that some people get thrown on the streets for loss of a job , or a spouse . There is a grip of people that live at Weston Park, my husband feed the les fortunate ones at least 4 times a month. Some people say why they are all druggies . Well some are homeless Vets. Some are lost souls. Let's stop all the section 8 , because there is always like 4 extra people living at a HUD house when it's only supposed to be 2 or 3 people ( with every one on food stamps )
Why don't we open a big airplane hanger for the homeless and give the ones that truly want a hand up not a hand out a chance . One day Pink Safari will be just that. It's time to teach the youth to keep that quarter between their knees ( I'm not sorry if that is to harsh, I'm tiered of supporting welfare moms that don't stop at one child THEY CANT AFFORD to support ) they should have a time limited to give others a chance to receive the help.
Ok I feel better now

If Valley did not allow so many on Sec 8, welfare etc. YOU would not have the low lifes. I think there should be stricter laws to getting Sec 8 housing and welfare. Welfare needs a limit ... even if the gov needs to get into the employment business. FIND these people jobs, send them to college, trade school. Something has to be done ... way to many free handouts in the US today.

HuH .... I agree. People on welfare, sec 8 or food stamps should have to do some sort of community service. Crossing guards, teachers aids, oversee playgrounds, community clean up, and grafitti abatement. Others can be used as daycare for the people who are doing community service. This should apply to all able bodied males and females. If they dont show up for work and have no dr excuse, the lose part of their monthly allotment.

Interesting how "Hemet ROCS" won't address the #1 problem here in the valley-The influx of dung from outside the area. They should be stopping this section 8 crap. But you know there's got to be money for the city at the end of the carrot, so they'll do nothing.
There are quite a few on the "ROCS" team who have overdosed on the kool-aid being served by the Hemet city council.
It's f**king sad and ridiculous!
I've been told by quite a number of people that the Councils of the City & San Jacinto are responsible for all the homeless, robbers, parolees, etc. They've put up a billboard in the bad parts of LA saying to go to Hemet/San Jacinto and the Co of LA is paying about $2600 a bus load to send them to Hemet. Here's an interesting question....Are any of the Hemet/San Jacinto council members property owners of section 8 apartment complex or houses????? It's not hard to find out. The assessors office has public records on file of all of us who own real estate. It'd put a whole different spin on why the council members continue to bus in all the worst types to us in Hemet. Keep sharing this information and maybe we'll find out why Hemet is turning into Compton.
