Let me help you; mating is irrelevant to the discussion of marriage. Even if it weren't, gays mate whether you like it or not. You don't get to make up your own definitions of what mating is.
<quoted text>
I highly doubt this figure, but in the end it's completely irrelevant.
<quoted text>
No one cares about cross cultural perspective. We only care about the perspective of the state. Cross cultures aren't issuing marriages, the state is. The state has no mandates as it relates to mating or procreation.
<quoted text>
Commonality is completely irrelevant. You are arguing "tradition". Sorry, that's not a valid argument when it relates to civil rights. Never has been and never will be. Your argument merely demonstrates your desperation.
<quoted text>
Face it c*nt, NOTHING you have stated has destroyed ANYTHING. Gays are still getting married, their marriages are equal to their heterosexual counterparts, laws are continuing to be changed in order to accommodate and regognize our marriages, and all your fundie twirls, lies and obfuscations about procreation, sterility, essences, anal sex, AIDS and anything else you try and bring into the conversation will never alter that.
You're a loser, fighting a losing battle, on a lost cause.
Oh, and you're ugly to boot.
"Let me help you" Jonah1 said, lapsing into a hateful ad hominem rant.

Howdy folks,
what we are all forgetting here is that god has given his word that everyone is to be treated equally unless, UNLESS they is different. Now what we got to do is stop them what is different from trying to change us who are right in His eyes. That is what is got to be understood. No more whoop-de-doo, just do as you are told and there wont be no whuppin. Now god set this all up so we would know what is what and who runs things for him, and that dont at all require no fake higher education cause god's word is the highest education and we will deliver it as it comes up, just listen. That there jerk what called us Reichspublicans thought he was being funny and cutie-ooo. He is a different one for sure and never gone be equal. SO THERE. READ YOUR BIBLE, as directed by HIM.

I have been waiting for a copy of the marriage license that Rodents use, have not seen that yet :)

and yes, they are stepping on people I know, injured veterans unable to have children that married, elderly people who married without the ability to have children. They donít seem to understand that that the ability or intent to have children has never ever been a requirement for a marriage license.

First you falsely portrayed the first paragraph as a theory, now you try to distort again. You are so predictable.
The 'usually' simply notes rare exceptions which in no way invalidate the normal.
The first paragraph simply notes commonly held understanding by social scientists about marriage. It then proceeds to address a separate theory about short term relationships.
Keep twirling queen.
First, you don't seem to understand what this article was about.

Second, if you look at the title of the article, "Sexual Strategies THEORY: An Evolutionary Perspective on Human MATING" you'll see that the authors are clearly discussing a theory about mating; not marriage.

Next, you see to finally get the picture that what is "normal" does not indicate "universal". A professor of mine used to call these "escapees from the laws of averages". And since there are those couples who may choose MATES (not marriages--the topic is mating) based on Sexual Strategies THEORY (cannot emphasize that enough); there are also couples who choose to MATE (not marry) based on other values.

You lie and say that this article represents a "commonly held understanding by social scientists about marriage." It does not.

First off, two social scientists DO NOT represent the entire community.

And secondly, even the authors of this study discuss the shortcomings of their THEORY.

They say,ďAt the current stage, this theory is limited in several important respects: It does not identify all of the conditions affecting when men and women will pursue short-term versus long-term sexual strategies, it does not currently account for individual differences within sex, and it has not accrued empirical support for predictions about the adaptive problems confronted by both sexes as identifying cues to commitment.Ē

I will point out again (which you will ignore again) that this study does not evaluate those couples who marry or choose a partner with whom they have no intention of mating for the purposes of producing an offspring.

And this article does not address the millions of gay and lesbian couples around the world who also choose mates; just as heterosexual couples choose mates.

This is an article about choosing mates for the purposes of reproducing ONLY. It is not an article about marriage.

LOL You're calling your bigoted BS science? What a joke..You've been arguing this crap about how you think sexual organs should function for years now. Then when you start loosing, you throw in the 'children card' and if that doesn't work you throw in 'Jezeeus' or being a hermaphrodite. You've been proven to be a hypocrite over and over. Hell, one poster who knew about you, even posted about you're wife stealing and how they kicked you out of your church for it, blowing your 'sanctity of marriage' argument. All you do is fill the pages of Topix with misguided, ignorant, homophobic bigotry... You're only perpetuating misinformation and NOT preserving traditional marriage like you think you are...Get Help!

Face it queen, that single paragraph destroys virtually every claim gay twirl trolls like you make.
Only if one buys into your argument that reproduction is a function of marriage. Since most of us understand the difference between reproduction and marriage, your "gay twirl" claim is moot.
