Every bum in America claims they're a vet so people will feel sorry for them and give them money. Most of them aren't vets, though, just bums with a sob story. And even if they were vets, that wouldn't give them or anybody else to turn a city park into a freak zone and a health hazard. I took a walk through Weston park a few months back and the place is littered with used needles and used condoms. And you idiots think that's a good thing.

Just out of curiosity when a person walks into a rite aide or Stater Bros etc. and they see a 30 pack of natural ice or keystone light for $13.99 does the public think that's for a person who's having a nice BB Que to invite his friends and co-workers. No in all honesty that's made and marketing to the loner alcoholic and maybe one or two of his friends. The problem is true alcoholism, 94% o human population doesn't understand it. Alcoholism is man kinds oldest form of drug addiction.

Maybe those crazy homeless veterans that pass by Winco Foods will join militias and come for all of us. There seems to be quite a few of them and they are headed somewhere away from Hemet for some definite purpose.

It has become a very disheartening time when our country and the people who call themselves Americans have become some cynical about our fellow man that it is an assumption anyone who may be homeless is useless.
Have you spoken to your fellow man, have you ascertained his mental stability or have you just ass umed they are useless sucking up your precious air. I would like all who think it couldn't happen to me, not in my world to do a reality check and see where they would in up without family, friends, a job and financial security. In reality your just a few check away from being homeless a well. Empathy, compassion, and a soul. Take a moment,Ponder.

I am a bible thumper and i am out quite often in the parks trying to feed large numbers of the homeless with my God and my family.

Bum hunter... You show no class. Our returning vets deserve respect and understanding. Most of us came back semi ok, but many came back screwed up. They deserve more than your bull shit. You're probably a bible thumping, gun loving, war monger, that never served our country. You're a true waste of skin.

The beginning of this post was not about soldiers its about vagrants young and old who turn down opportunities to better themselves and instead use and sell drugs in Hemet. I agree with the next person that if we can help someone by giving food fine, however give cash and they will buy liqueur, cigarettes, meth, cocaine and other various paraphernalia. How are our children supposed to play in parks when there are needles in the grass, how are we supposed to go to stores with out being harassed by pan handles, will our car be damaged or stolen since we declined? We the citizens pay taxes shouldn't those same taxes solves many problems in our cities. If we can not find a housing area, employment and drug free consultations for these people then why are helping them to stay in their current condition?

What a pathetically sad post, Makes me want to bring turkey dinners to the parks to help these people out.Whats more sad is a good percentage are Vietnam vets whose country turned their backs on the help THEY REALLY NEED, When they served this country for the very freedoms, They are denied.
I live in Hemet, use the bus alot, and see veterans on the street, sleeping in doorways at night. It gets in the 20's here at nite. The park is full of people that are jobless during the day, I have never seen any tents, nor people behaving in an inappropriate manner. They may smoke weed, but people that do that are generally mellow, if we need anything is more mental health outpatient facilities, and homeless shelters for adults without kids. Its very hard to find a shelter, as an adult without children. This would get them out of the parks, have intervention to get them working, taking their meds., have an address, etc. The things you need to get a job. I'm just sayin.

If the bums in ur city r walking away yet there still is an abundance of them tht kinda says a lot about a city i have been suggesting tht we level hemet n turn it into something prosperous like a landfill

All the people you see on the street and hanging out in the park are not homeless. Some have homes and a nice warm bed to sleep in.
But they want to hang out with their buddies to drank, smoke and get high.
They panhandle and spend their welfare money to get their drugs and booze.
They don’t want to work or have any commitments. They are free loaders being supported by the tax payers. There are a few who are actually homeless but they don’t want a job or anything to answer to. They panhandle to get their dope and booze. There are places to go for help but they don’t want to go by the rules.
Our American Veterans can find help. Some are mentally unstable and need medication to function in our society.
But there is help out there. There is help for everyone who really wants it.
But there are rules and requirements attached to that help.
But people have learned how the system works and prefer to panhandle and prey on innocent strangers who eagerly hand out money to them.
I disagree with you. Have you took a minute to talk to any of them? I have. These people have nothing. If they do get aide which if you dont have a mailbox you will only get one months of food money. Because of the paperwork you have to turn in. Ive talked to several people, ive seen the cops take their stuff away and make them move. I saw a cop the other day give a ticket to someone sleeping on the sidewalk. That is just wrong. We let these illegal pieces of crap come into our town and they take the aide, they work under the table and buy brand new trucks you are ok with that i bet. Illegals are the problem. We spend a ton of money on them. We can take care of the homeless problem if we didnt have the otm and Mexicans taking our funds and take a frickin minute and talk to the true homeless, you know there are families living in cars They are embarrassed enough then they see your kind talk. Some may have drug problems sure. Some are really mentally unstable. Those are the ones that need more compation
