Just heard that they are going to build a 270 unit apartment complex on East Johnston between State and Gilbert Streets. These rentals are supposed to be for seniors only. Who wants to bet that within a year, they will be turned into a section 8 shithole? That's all we need in our town to turn it into a true ghetto. We need to find out what council members positions are on this issue, and vote accordingly. The future of Hemet is in our hands people. Get educated and vote.

I think your figure of 270 may be very incorrect. The Jasmine Gardens development you're referring to is to have 124 units, not 270.

However, are you familiar with the 200 acre, 1100 resident Ramona Creek residential/retail development proposed for West Hemet just west of Sanderson?

I heard the higher number, and it was supposed to be for seniors. Either way, if it turns into a sec 8 sinkhole, it's bad news for our town. Haven't heard about the Sanderson development. But I take it that that one will be a sinkhole as well.

What happened on Steiner street just north of Lincoln ave. Last Wednesday? Police had the street blocked; more police and sherriffs than I realized there were here.

Google your average neighborhood in Detroit in 2015. That's what Hemet politicians are giving us in Hemet. Time to fire all of them before they do any more damage.

Forgot to mention it was these same clowns that shoved the Sanderson Wal Mart down our throats when we warned them not to. These idiots actually believed a new Wal Mart would give us so much new revenue Hemet's financial problems would be fixed permanently. I argued long and hard to convince them their asinine decision would result in lots of businesses in the city especially on Florida going out of business. Result: Millie's gone. Closed their doors fired everybody, no advance warning. Acapulco gone. Denny's gone. Coco's gone Closed doors no advance warning. Gottschalks gone. Our one high end bookstore in the Hemet mall gone. Mimi's gone. Just up, left no advance warning. Hemet officials still believe downtown Hemet is as good if not better than Temecula's Old Town. If that's the case why do I see so many cars in Temecula, Murietta, Meniffee, elsewhere with Hemet license plates? Hey citizens. You know what needs to be done to turn this mess around. Do it and fast. I don't want to be writing epistles to this website five years from now commenting on how Hemet looks like Detroit with nothing but section 8'ers, beggars, loafers and hookers taking over Florida. What's the matter with you citizens anyway?
