I am a 41 year old caucasian male who used to wear FUBU back when it was popular and I just purchased two FUBU Collection suits that I will be wearing to work - at a Bank where I am the branch manager. First of all, Daymond John has clarified that the "Us" referred to in the "For Us By Us" meaning is referring to the hip-hop culture, not black people. So before you start throwing around accusations, it would be best to get your facts straight. Secondly, if Daymond John was really racist, do you think he would invest money into products invented by people who are not black or that don't help only black people?

Daymond is an entrepreneur who wants to help people, including people who grew up like him - poor and black. If I grew up poor and black and found a way to be successful, I think there would be nothing wrong with going back to where I came from and helping people like me and giving them the opportunities I had. If you think differently, them maybe YOU are the racist.

You, sir. Are full of shit.
Typical racist response. You can't even intelligently make any response or prove anything I said is incorrect so you hurl an insult. If I said something that was incorrect, please provide proof of this. Everything I said is 100% accurate and truthful. I sent a tweet to Daymond months ago to clarify who the "us" was and his response was the urban or hip hop culture. I am a bank manager and I am caucasian and I do wear the FUBU suits to work. So, which part are you challenging and what proof do you have to provide that I am wrong? Or is it that you have no proof so it's easier to insult someone you don't know online where you can hide behind your keyboard and monitor while your false sense of superiority makes you look foolish?

That is about the dumbest thing I have heard people need to worry about themselves and stop trying to bring up racial accusation. Keep ignorant opinions to yourself. To John Daymond..keep doing your thing.

FUBU is a clothing company, founded in 1992 by the Shark Tank celebrity, John Daymond. FUBU clothing is designed and created for the African-American community. The name is an acronym for “For Us By Us”, implying the product line was produced for a primarily African –American market.
However, the original meaning of FUBU was “Five Urban Brother United,”
Because of the racist overtone, all non-African-Americans should boycott the FUBU clothing line and not support such racist behavior.

You look foolish wearing that FUBU crap. Bank on that, you wigger.
You have obviously never seen the suit because they look just as professional as most other suits. They are not purple pimp daddy suits like other designers make. But I'm sure you made your remark out of ignorance so I understand.

FUBU? Bloody awful American clothing that pseudo Jamaicans wear in England.

But if your talking acronyms then GAP should be your next topic, everyone where's it and it actually originally stood for Gay and Proud! Hilarious!

Who cares honestly if you like the style then it's all for the good

How do you know "us" means "black people". Is that implied or assumed?

What about Tommy Hilfiger? He stated that his clothes are primarily for whites. I witnessed this on the Savannah river and it was aired on tv. Nobody cried about that. Ever since then his business went down hill. Cracker barrel is owned by the kkk and didn't hire blacks until lawsuits started hitting them in their asses. So please with the frantic crying, nobody's got time for that

If anyone remembers Daymond came up with the idea after Tommy Hielfiger qouted he did not make his clothes for black people. Hence the name FUBU was formed (For Us By Us). Then later Heilfeger recanted his story and said he did not make his clothes for rappers. So now you know.
I don't think many remember or even knew about it.... Did anyone make big waves about that piece of news???..... Wait for it....aaww damn! I didn't think so

Tossing their freaking uneducated opinion into the ring every time they don’t like something or think that it is an opportunity to sound so self-righteous. When they are actually a hypocrite.
Why don’t you get over yourself OHPLEZEELMER and learn to spell idiot.
I.d.i.o.t. is that correct? Talk about being a hypocrite! You complain about someone tossing their opinion into the ring. Didn't you do the same thing when you bitched. Thank God for freedom of speech.
