Everyone in Hemet knew they were hookers. About time the Hemet Keystone cops took action. Now, let's see if it's a one time thing. Or, are they going to continue to chase this trash out of town. Concentrate on cleaning up our town instead of BS traffic stops.

The cops go out and do a great job arresting some hookers and you post they should clean up town and stop making traffic stops? Yeah, traffic isn't a problem in Hemet! They are doing a great job, everytime I see an article they have arrested another crook for a major crime. Crimes that were not being committed when I first moved here. until the citizens put pressure on the elected cronies to add cops it will only get worse.

If their doing such a good job, why did it take almost a year to bust them. Like I said, it's been a running (not very funny) joke about all the hookers on florida between kirby and palm for the last year. If regular citizen knew about it don't you think the law enforcement should have?

all the hookers received was a cite and release ticket. they go to court, pay a fine and bam!! their out there working again. what about doing a sting to catch the men who favor these ladies? I'm sure alot of wives will be po'd when their man gets caught trying to 'hook' one.

Rob:

We know and have known about them. We have arrested them numerous times for numerous things. In this county you can't book in a misdemeanor because the Sheriff's Dept. is under a Federal Injunction for evercrowding that results in only very serious offenders staying in jail. The new detention center that is in the process of approval may assist us in that area. Please feel free to come down and ride one evening with an officer and educate yourself about what we are doing on a daily basis.

Happy: We do often arrest the "Johns" but the Press does not normally find these types of articles newsworthy. Once again, they get a ticket and walk (cause we tow their car).

Hemet Cop, I don't need to do a ride along. It's been done. Thank you for the inventation. I'm sure you do your job very well. I didn't mean to come across that hard. I've been here most of my life and have seen this town go from the citris lined street that was once the richest per capita to one filled with hookers, check cashing, liqure stores, etc.... It's frustrating. My concern is the element that goes alnong with this activity. You don't need to put them in jail. Just cite the crap out of them until it becomes unproductive to conduct that buisness in this town. Do you know what the fine is in LV for prostition with aids or other vd? Have these women been tested before being released back on the street to continue?

I (and my family) too live here and have seen the changes you speak of. It is only going to get worse with our abundance of affordable housing. Low income families from all over are moving here everyday. That has brought a certain criminal element to town that we did not have 10-15 years ago. I do not know the fine in Vegas but I can tell you it is a felony to have sex in CA with the intent to pass on STDS. No, they are not tested and we have no legal authority to do so without a judges order. That would take someone who contracted the STD to come forward, and as you can imagine, we just don't see that. Thanks for understanding that this is a community issue and not a just a police issue. We will try to cut down on those BS traffic stops.:)

Hey Rob, if you want a clean hooker in nevada, you have to go to the bunny ranch. they test their women monthly. No,I didn't work there but saw it on the 'boob'tube. ha ha.
Anyway back to this Hemet issue. I remember years ago as I was walking on Florida ave, on my way to work, I would get approached by men all the time asking me if I wanted a 'date'(code word asking if your a hooker). I always had this horney old man follow me whenever I was walking. I got so pissed that I made a complaint to the HPD. I remember officer Adams taking my information about this weirdo, license plate#,color of truck, etc. Officer Adams went and talked to this man, who of course denied following me. Officer Adams was very professional and calm, especially when I told him that the next time this man follows me I will throw a rock threw his window; then track him down and tell his wife about him. Well, today I have a car and really don't notice all the bs in town that you do when you have to walk. At that time if I got a dollar for every fool who asked me for a 'date' I'd be rich.
My only complaint that I have is the day laborers hanging out at 690 N. state st. Someone should call the border patrol and do a good ole roundup there! yee-haw! Hemet cops are the best considering the crap they see!

Our prison system is a mess, as well as the laws, lawyers and judges. we can build all the prisons we want but without money to support such all that is happening is a slap on the wrist. wait till Arnold unleases thousands of cons to the streets because of 'no money'.
it's a shame how the handcuffs are on the judges and not the criminals in this state! the laws are for the criminals NOT the victims.

The reason there is 'no money' is instead of building prisons the prison guards were given absurd salary increases, and benefit entitlements. CA's cost per inmate is more than 3 times all other states. Good job, third grade education requirement and some guards make over 3000,000 a year. That is 25 % of the reason your taxes are going up. That's BULL $HIT.

Thats why I am applying for work in any other state besides california. Tell me, how do states which do not have a state tax make it? I have checked several states that dont have a state tax and there are jobs there, plus the col is alot lower than here. granted the pay is lower but also are the rents, vehicle registration and No state tax. plus damn employers here want employees to be bi-lingual. screw that crap. I speak english. people who can not understand english, understand enough to get their welfare, food stamps, disability, and medical. screw this frickin lame ass state. they are forcing the good people(plus alot of companies) to bail out of here.

Happy,

States like Oregon, for example, have no sales tax and only charge $30 to register your car for TWO years. But don't be fooled. States get tax money one way or another, Oregon happens to have a very high property tax rate. So if you are a renter and don't plan on buying a house, that would be a good deal.

For Rob, there are more deaths caused by traffic accidents than homicide in this city. Whenever someone dies from a traffic collision, it is because a vehicle code was violated. Officer write tickets to prevent people from committing violations, and thereby reduce injury collisions and fatalities.

But you probably don't care.

thanks for the info 'some guy' but our new tax increase, which takes effect in about a month, is one main reason why alot of people are jumping across state lines.
when one only earns so much money a year, how is this state suppose to expect their tax payers to put on rose glasses and pretend everything is ok; especially when they don't have the money to buy 'rose colored glasses'.
you can only squeeze a sponge so hard and so long before you can't get any more water out of it.
This mess could have been avoided years ago by allowing legal casinos to be built in this state, but Arnold was all over the TV talking voters out of that idea.
I gave this state the my best years and I am out of here.
enough is enough.
