Yes, Foreman.
So, what do you think about that endorsement? Is that "WOW" good or "WOW" bad? I'm interested in your opinion.

How does one vote on public safety matters when her husband is a union negotiator and her brother-in-law is in a city union?
Heres some truth

You'd better do your homework. I contacted the police department and confirmed that her husband IS NOT a union negotiator!!!

What will it take for you to stop telling lies?

I am voting for Galletta.

She is new, fresh ... and really has a concern for the blight of our city.
Her husband is a cop, maybe she can get more cops behind this city to clean it up .

All I do know , lets take out the old and put in the new... lets try something else.

Her answer at last night's forum to solve the City's expected $3 million deficit.

If city employees are leaving their computers on at night, they need to turn them off. Plus the City should SPEND more money for digital thermostats.

Galletta is conflicted out on public safety issues because she's married to the police negotiator. That's 77% of the general fund. What good is she on council?

I know. No one can question Hemet employee's pay, benefits, and pension because she's an automatic "NO" vote. That makes sense why the police department is backing her.

I'd rather vote for a candidate supported by a hundred cops than vote for two candidates supported by one dirty developer! That's why I'm voting for Melissa Galletta!

Are you kidding me,

Yes, I heard the same and was rather taken aback. She should have said, I have no clue. She seems like a nice lady but needs to do a lot more homework, if she did any at all.

If Dianna Tavenner and Mellisa are both elected the flood waters of corruption will cease. Dianna Tavenner is an independent thinker and cannot be influenced by the small town (but sometimes wealthy) gangsters. Some of the so-called "local business men" have deep scars from many years of back-scratching ... when will it stop? When the people of Hemet want it to!!!!

Jim Foreman, current council member was supported by that same developer that you call dirty.....with no evidence I might add. It is amazing how easily people come on here and post slanderous information with not even a hint of evidence. Here are some facts:

Galleta's husband is Hemet PD.
Her brother-in-law is a city employee.

She may be the nicest person in the world, for all I know, but who do you think she is going to support in negotiations between the City and its employee unions?

Another known fact is that Jim Foreman is formerly Hemet PD also and a puppet of the police union currently on the council. You need only look at his voting record on the council for proof of who he supports.

Just because you want sensible budgeting with your tax dollars doesn't mean you are anti-police. Everyone wants safe neighborhoods to live in. In this time of job losses, drastically lowered incomes, seniors without social security cost-of living increases for several years, and overall financial insecurity for everyone who is not a government employee, you would think that police would be willing to take say a 10% cut to save a few of their own, if anything. If they truly cared about anything except themselves, you would think there would be some honest give and take but there isn't. When the city imposed a 5% cut on them instead you would think the world had ended. I don't know about everyone else, but I can only wish that 5% was all I had lost in this recession.

The City of Hemet is clearly in serious trouble and the results of this election will set the course for the future. Do you want continued overspending of money we dont have? Do you want continued attempts to raise taxes even though voters have made it clear they won't support them? If so, then you should vote for candidates who support the unions.

But if you want spending curtailed and the budget brought under control then you need to support the candidates who make it absolutely clear that they won't raise taxes under any circumstances and they will cut spending.

Larry Smith and Joyce Thibodeaux are two of the candidates promising exactly that. If you truly want a change, these are the people you should be voting for in this election.

If we are talking facts here...Jim Foreman refused to take John Petty money. Past Council members that have received monies from the "Petty" camp include Lori VanArsdale, Robin Lowe, Robert Youseff, and Jerry Frenchville. Do we really want a change for Hemet?!!If so we need to look beyond SMITH and THIBODEAX!

There might be several candidates that are good for the city. I dont know them all so I can't say.

One thing I do know is that, if you really want change for the better, you have better elect candidates who will stand up to the city employee unions. If you don't, then don't expect things to change at all.
