I live in hemet and I'm tired of the crime and the low life people that came from LA. My friend works for the sheriffs dept. He told me that LA county closed down the projects and gave the families home vouchers to move to riverside county. This is the big reason that our town is turning into a dump. I think that its time that the hemet pd and sheriff need to get off their ass and take care of the problem. Istead our elected sheriff linning his pockets with Larry Miners money. Payless shoes and radio shack on the coner of sanderson and stetson have been robbed at least seven time eachin the last six months. I think that the people of hemet should catch these criminals and drop them off at saboba indian reservation. then pay the indians to get rid of our problem.

My My My, you are so confused. LA county does not give vouchers for people to move. Whoever gave you that info is really playing mind games with you. I have several family members employed by LA county. 4 with the sheriffs dept. 2 retired from the sheriffs dept. 1 that works with the DA's office. And 2 that work with social services.
I have lived here for 23 years.
The influx of crime started when the housing industry boomed. People moved here because houses were cheaper. That is when the gamgs and other criminals moved in. And they were not all from LA county. They also came from Orange and San Bernardino counties.
They also came from out of state. People that no longer wanted to live where it is so cold.
So please do your homework next time before posting such nonsense.

Anyone here know anything more about the crazy scene that played out on Gilman Springs Road this morning, when a madman driving a stolen pickup seemed to aim it at other cars, eventually crashing into another vehicle? This was followed by the driver trying to carjack the car of someone who had pulled-over to help. Police arrived and found a bound man, who claimed to have been abducted, in the bed of the pickup!
Bright side anyone

Hemet has changed for a lot of reasons. Those trashy people who moved in ( all races ). The People in seat. For failing to do their duty as to providing us with adequate protection. And even some cops who prefer meader reading ... Rather than actually protecting us . And have you noticed Weston park ( infront of HPD ) is known for high drug crime?! I mean ...really?! Almost 20 steps from the station and its dangerous!? Just goes to show!!!

LA County didn't close down all of the projects. They tore some of them down and did, in fact, relocate some of the residents to Riverside County.

That's a fact, Jack.

And this is a fact "local resident". LA has filed restraining orders against their criminals and helped them relocte to a city of choice with their section 8 vouchers:Hemet, Perris, MoVal, San Bern. That is who our under staffed/under paid cops are dealing with every day. Our cops are tired of lack of community support. One day Hemet PD will be no more and RSO will be working Hemet also. Sad that hard working people will loose their job because the residents of Hemet didn't give a crap and then cry about their increase in crime rate. Thanks LA. Great plan to ruin small towns.

If you think these problems don't exist anywhere else, you are delusional. Yes, there is a tremendous plethora of ghetto dogs in west Hemet, however the more East you go the better.

The reason Hemet is not so great is because we are full of dollar stores. Liquor stores and check cashing places. We have one shifty hospital.
