Helotes compost fire Real Hell to people living there!

I got A doctors note to get temporary housing assistance because the effect the compost fire had on my asthma. I had already spent a month in other places away from Helotes, TX because of the wheezing, coughing, burning of eyes induced from short exposure outside, such as getting in the car to go to the grocery store yet noone is responsible, I was told by housing authority when I called there was no funding left and told they may be able to put me in group living temporarily. Now I am in Oklahoma with my sister. This is more than a meer inconvenience. What about lung recepients or others that need help? Our community was forgotten in regard to health issues to fend for ourselves with this disaster. I would still like to know who is responsible and at what expense.

Betty, I feel for you. I work off of Callaghan and once I hit Bandera and 410 I can start smelling the smoke coming in my vehicle. Can only imagine what it would be to live in Helotes. Hopefully, things will be resolved soon. In the interim, take advantage of being able to spend time with your sister.
