The death sentence would have been more appropriate for this pos! But, that would have taken 25 to 30 years to be carried out, so, I guess it doesn't make much diference!

I find it hard to believe that Gaona waited 48 years to commit his first murder. I hope they are looking further into his background and missing persons from every place he has lived...and the same for his accomplice! You don't just wake up one day and decide to become a violent criminal.

Agreed. Not only that, but it said he was sentenced for not registering as a sex offender... I have to wonder what that crime was and if the penalty for it was enough. Perhaps if justice had truly been served for the sex crime, he would never have been around to escalate to murder.

And yet a 13 year old kid freaked out and killed his neighbor who was over and he got life in prison. But it was florida, so who knows. Sentences never are consistent are they.
