I am a former student of Craig Pfannkuche's (from the early 80's)and he taught my older brother in 70's -- it is wonderful to see him still active in the community, making history come alive. He was never one to shy away from controversy which is probably what made him such an awesome teacher. I don't find it surprising at all that he would be portraying an KKK advocate and I would have loved to see his performance, but I live a LONG way from Crystal Lake now. I daresay he was certainly the best teacher I ever had; he made me think, not just memorize facts. Thanks so much for all you did for me, Mr. Pfannkuche. Gratefully yours, Cindi

I agree. Mr. Pfannkuche taught his students to think for themselves and take a stand when they felt strongly about something. I honestly don't think I've had a teacher that was more effective in my whole life. I was in his class in the mid-80's and have since been through college and grad school and I can hardly remember most of my former teacher's names. He made an impact on his students and taught us all valuable life lessons. I pray that my daughter had a teacher life him just once in her life!
