Ya know what's truly sad is the fact that they are so screwed up they actuly believe their actions are normal. And they think us sober people are the jacked up ones.
But, I'm 4 real in their burnout minds they believe they are NORMAL. The jaw jacking is normal in their heads.
What a sick sickness they have.

Breaking Bad is a really good show though. So I'm thankful for the meth trade for that.

You know what? You would certainly be singing a different tune if it were your PARENT, SIBLING, OR CHILD that became addicted to a drug like meth! People make poor choices. That's never going to change. Meth is a disgusting drug, and it does horrible things to your body and behavior that can't always be reversed. But that does NOT mean that someone with an addiction is not a person! What if someday when you are under the influence of ANY substance - even when you are just drunk and acting stupid or looking abnormal because of it - someone told you that you are no longer a human being and that you no longer deserve to be treated like a person? No one is perfect! We can't throw people who are SICK and ADDICTED out of society and stop trying to HELP them just because they made a mistake that we didn't! We all have made choices that led us to look foolish, damage our health in some way, and negatively affected our reputation or someone else's view of us. Does that mean that none of us are "people"? How about we start acting like decent human beings and treat others with respect, kindness, and love - instead of hate, disgust, and cruelty? Remember - it could be YOUR loved one. My mother was an addict. By the grace of God and a very long and difficult journey for our entire family, she is CLEAN and has been for years! She is a wonderful, loving woman who I have the utmost respect for and I hope to grow to be as inspiring, beautiful and strong as her someday. I hope that someday all of you will learn the power of love and respect for other people that my mother taught me. But until then, maybe you should get off of Topix and spend a little more time opening your eyes to the world and learning what is truly disgusting - hate.

If they are to far gone then why dont you just pray for them and feel sorry for them? Ridiculing and making fun of them is wrong. Do you think they like their lives? No they don't. Addiction is a sad and terrible illness. Lives ruined.

So I'm having a hard time with some of this. These meth heads could very well b ur family member, and when it is its absolutely the worst thing a person could have to deal with. So I u don't know how it feels (to be the family) don't b talkin so much s*** about them. I don't like it either, but it is what it is. They'll either decide to change or not...just sayin...

Like I said,. Addiction is an illness that requires treatment. It's hard with no insurance. I can't imagine anyone wanting to live like they do. I feel sorry for them and their families. It can happen to any family.

A few years ago, meth was a huge part of my life. I started out smoking it, and within 6mos was shooting it. Long story short, my meth problem landed me in county jail. I was arrested in front of my 6yr. That day changed my life. As I sat in jail, coming off of meth, I made up my mind to Never put my kids through this hell ever again. I put a memory in my son's head, that no kid should ever have. Me and his Dad being hauled off in handcuff, while my baby begging the cops Not to take his momma. My wake call.. I know, its totally pathetic of me. And I'm ashamed of the hurt I put my family throught because of my addiction. But I'm here today, clean and sober for 1 1/2yrs. I asked my kids to forgive me. I've spent the last year and half, making amends and trying to regain trust from my family. My point in this post, is, to all the addicts, THERE IS LIFE AFTER METH, you have to want it, you are your first step in recovery. Don't do it for anybody but yourself. Cuz I promise, if you're getting clean for any reason, other than yourself, you won't be clean for long. For me I finally realized, in looking back, during my enitre drug use, nothing good was in my life. Nothing positive. My husband and I lost our house, and we didn't give a $hit, as long as we had dope. Meth will take your soul if you let it. I feel like, I'm sooo lucky, to have walked away from that lifestyle. Its possible for everybody to walk away from it. Being clean is a decision. Simple as that. Best of luck to those of you who are addicts, wanting to stop, and to the families who have to deal with this.

I think some people become more addicted than others. I don't know why some can quit and some can't. I don't think It's just a matter of wanting to quit for some.people. I don't understand how a drug can have such a hold on someone that they ruin their lives and hurt the people they love most.

Meth users need to be locked up. They are a danger to the public and who cares if they are a danger to themselves cause they are willingly putting that poisonin their bodies.
I'm sorry family or not I don't want anyone around me that willingly uses meth. They are sick in the head.
And to all the women who use meth during the pregnancy....... "You may get away with it on earth but, you will pay for poisoning that gift from The Lord one day."
Truely sickening.

I agree with you, that some people can quit alot easier than others. Some are stronger than others, and it takes more than just wanting to quit. Addicts need a positive support system and they HAVE to walk away from their addicted friends as well. Thats what I had to do. Because there is no way I could've quit shooting dope, if I was still hanging around my friends who were shooting up as well. I'm telling you from experience, its damn near impossible for an Addict to say NO, when your surronded by other people using. I tried that, and failed. I loved Meth, loved feeling it creep thru my veins. But there is no life in meth. I shut out all the people (family) who truely loved me and cared about my well being, because of meth. I surrounded myself with other methheads, because we all had one common goal, to get high. I chose to stop, I chose to leave that lifestyle. Thank God my family opened their arms to help me recover. I'm forever grateful for that. And I never want to go down junkie road again. Life is good now. Life is normal now. I wanted my kids have normal back, I took normal away from them for a while. But as hard as it may be, to see your friends or family addicted to meth, they will not quit, until they want too. The will to quit has to come from within. Peace Out !!
