Witchcraft is threat to Christian Community of Heber/Overgaard

Witchcraft is keeping good Christian men and women from sleeping at night. Covens from the valley are holding orgies in the woods with the local Witches. Missing pets are the victims of unholy ritual sacrifices! Right out of the historical pages of the 16th Century – ya think? Nope, these are rumors spreading like a wildfire in town today! I don’t know who is stirring the cauldron to brew such lies but I am writing today to put them to bed once and for all.
Yesterday I had a woman walk into Fairy Lights asking about all the Witchcraft Rituals that is disturbing the sleep of people in town. I automatically replied that I am a Witch and that to the best of my knowledge Witchcraft has never had the power to waste on such nonsense. Ignorant, foolish and fearful people endow us with all sorts of supernatural powers inspired by Hollywood’s fictions and fantasies.
I can’t speak for others of my faith for there is no single form of Witchcraft as there is no single form of Christianity. Some Christians believe that in the Eucharist the bread and wine do become the body and blood of Christ. The 16th century Protestant movement interpreted the Scriptures upon which that belief is based symbolically rather than literally. Catholics, Protestants, Reformists, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, etc. can’t agree on Christ’s relationship to God the Father. Was he created and thus the brother of Satan or begotten and part of the Divine Trinity? Was he simply a good man, a prophet or actually Divine? We pagans have similar disagreements about the Nature of God. The sad thing is that there can be no rational dialogue with those in town who fear us.
Fundamentalist and other evangelical Christians generally believe that there are only two powerful supernatural forces in the world: their God and Satan. Members of a certain church in town are afraid of Julie and me because we are supposedly in league with Satan because we unashamedly admit we are Witches and don’t believe in their Christian tenets. It seems they view all religions different from their own as forms of Satanism which would include established world religions from Buddhism to Zoroastrianism, and might even include liberal and some mainline Christians. If this were true, Satanists would then make up in excess of 90% of the world's population -- i.e. everyone who is not a conservative Christian. No wonder they life in fear!
When I taught Christian theology and apologetics, I found the most difficult fear of Christians to overcome was that of being tempted by the Devil and losing their salvation. How can a spiritual being that was created be stronger than its creator? Does not scripture promise that the Spirit of God will indwell the true believer? If one is filled with the Glory of God, then is not God himself being tempted whenever Satan is tempting the believer? What is the purpose of temptation anyway? Is heaven so small that God has to whittle down the number of believers so heaven wont be overcrowded with the faithful?
I never have or ever will try to convert or subvert the beliefs of any individual who comes to me for Spiritual Counseling. I work within their belief system to help them become the best Lutheran, Baptist, Jehovah Witness, Mormon or pagan they can be. I may have turned away from the Christian Church but I will never turn away from Christians who need to be reminded of the promises that their Holy Scriptures has given them. Their faith is no threat to me or my beliefs, nor am I a threat to theirs!
My faith brings the rains to a parched forest, healing to a broken spirit, blessings to an impoverished family. When practicing my Religion I am ruled by two creeds:“Harm None!” and “The Sevenfold Law of Return” which states whatever I send out to others (love, hate, fear, etc.) will come back to me seven times over. Is this not the core of the 10 commandments and Christ’s admonishment to “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”? Love is the Law!

I really don't appreciate the Christian community putting all this false belief into their followers, saying my grandmother did orgies and killed animals.
Thats just wrong.
She did none of this.
She was a peaceful, loving person and she wouldn't go out and kill peoples pets, she has a respect for nature and animals alike.
I find that saying all the things you Christians were about her was a huge contradiction to your religion and what you base your life around!
You all are supposed to live your life loving EVERYONE, including people that have different religious views...at least thats what your taught.
God might not approve of all the religions out there, but he also gave everyone a choice to be what they wanted to be, and he said he would still love them all EQUALLY.
Trying to push people out of your town because they don't believe what you do is just proving how stubborn and single minded most of you are.
I was a proud Christian until I saw all the things that they were forcing upon people.
Just because you want to "save" someone does not mean you have the right to go up to them and tell them they are going to hell for being who they are, or making false pretenses about them.
WWJD? He would love EVERYONE.
On the Cross Jesus turned to someone who had committed a crime and told him that he was going to live forever with him in paradise, even though what he did was terrible, JESUS did NOT judge,
so neither should any of you.

Interesting what ignorance and fear can manifest. I
only wish that the magickally inclined could do half of what the uninformed believe we can do. Only
if we could!! As to orgies, if ya can't beat em' join em'.. Repression of the energies leads to disease and psychic disturbances according to Wilhelm Reich. I would agree. A little more fucking
and the world would be a better place.
