How bout players you've seen play in person, not just by what people say Rene Ramirez played in the 50's bro.

Hebbronville Longhorns is South Texas Football !! There is something good to say about every decade , 50's, 60's 70's 80's . Horns tear it up , teams were intemidated when we would show up to play.
Many great players have played on that field:
RENE RAMIREZ , " JAWS " , AV CANALES , TOMMY DOMINGUEZ, EDDIE GARZA , JOHNNY YBANEZ , " FLETCHA " DAMIEN MORENO , ADEMAR, JOE SOLIZ , PAULINO SILGUERO , GUY ELLISON, JOE RIOS , VERA , JOSEPH MALDONADO, DAVID BENAVIDES , YOU GET MY DRIFT.
I FOLLOW HEBB FOOTBALL , ONCE A LONGHORN ALWAYS A LONGHORN !!
IT'S ABOUT PRIDE AND WORK ETHIC, PLAY HARD !! HEBBRONVILLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN KNOWN TO HIT HARD !!

It is what it is !! Many have played on that field , but we all have one thing that binds us together. "PRIDE " in the school , community and ourselves .
All members of the athletic dept boys or girls, all students of HHS should conduct themselves with outmost self respect . It seperates HHS from everyone else .
Yes the players from today are different , only because I don't know them. Football is football and now is when to start preparing for next year. I CC those kids train year round even at the middle school level . Lifting and running , coaches get their progrees reports and make sure they are getting the help they need .

True, David was a big A-hole on the field, always managed to hit someone after the whistle lol. Definetly a great player to watch. I remember some guy from La Villa got it bad on one of the returns and the kicker from Zapata. Also heard and read alot about Tommy Dominquez and Eddie Garza back in the 80's days.

As I recall David did have a couple of penalties in that gam,e but if he hadn't been on the field it would have been a diffrent game altogether. (Not in a good way) But the most costly play of that game was when Benavides hit the passer causing him to throw that interception turned pass by Lopez. Bad football smarts.

Yes, good point rrb. It seems to happen every year no changes are made during half time and the other team comes out with a completely diffrent game plan. I thought I was alone in that thought.

No, unfortunately we have seen for 6 yrs in a row !! I was trying to be politically correct , but it is , what it is .
No adjustments are made , do they even look at film ?
I hate to say it but that is why we do not get any respect from other 2 A powerhouses . GEORGE WEST , THREE RIVERS, SKIDMOE-TYNAN .
Every year I watch b-distict champs slip away or even further into the playoffs . I know we have the talent and the heart , it has to be utilized better .
I heard Hebron might be moving north to another district ?

Dnt quote me but we have the chancE to be put with the like of Gw and the bobcats.. It could be a rough couple of years but ours coachs could but us in a good spot just depends if they could put a good spring program together.. Oh yea only 2 teams from

The teams that I heard were going to be in District 16 Division 2 (small schools enrollment) were Freer, Premont, Riviera, Banquete, Three Rivers and Hebbronville. Again, this can all be different come UIL realignment day. This is speculation.

3a Falfurrias is predicted to move down to 2a. Other schools that might move down are Lyford and Orange Grove. These schools would be placed in a Division 1 District(Big School enrollment), I believe it would be District 16 Division 1. It all depends on the UIL's new realignment numbers for class 2a and 3a.

It is all about preperation and dedication. I know we can hang , time to put in some effort and dedication. BY ALL !! No room for wasteoids , everyone has to step up to the plate. Never know when you are going to get called upon.
I saw film once when ALAN CHAPA hurled himself over the center from the nosegaurd postion and knocked the crap out of the quarterback .
