Everything was done as it should have been. Had it been my kids I would have left them in prison for a few hours to teach them a lesson. But...it wouldn't be my kids because I've done something the rest of you should try. It's called parenting.
Theft is a Commandment? You mean I have to steal?

I'm just against parents blaming someone else for the behavior of their kids. The principal did what was needed. The parents whined.

It was a mother f*cking newspaper for God's sake! Not a car, not someone's valuable property, but a freaking newspaper. Get a life, idiots.

Who cares what it was..The point is, the newspaper was not theirs so they should have not touched it. Also that is the very reason this world has gone straight down the tube with all these spoiled a** kids that have their mommys or daddys to bail them out of trouble instead of looking at it the right way. Pat on the back for this woman and the PD for trying to stop this behavior while they are young. Yes it was just a newspaper..this time...

The old codger should have went out and got the damn thing in a timely fashion. And "this time?" F*ck you, bish. Those happen to be my nephews, and it was an innocent mistake. They are better than most kids in this God forsaken town.

LOL!! Yes this time!! Am I saying all kids are going to be thieves??? No! But if everyone just sits back and don't do anything about the small things then that is when all the larger crimes begin happening!!!! Right there is the exact attitude everyone is talking about when they say the parents (or kin) continue taking up for them and over reacting!!!! If that was my nephews, I would be busting their little butts instead of making a big deal out of it!!

Little? The oldest one is 6'6" and the younger one is right behind him. This is old news from years ago, and why everyone wants to start talking about it again is beyond me. Everyone on this site needs to get a f*cking life.

Says the person talking about this. You may think stealing is not a big deal, but everything that happened with those kids was exactly what needed to happen. Stealing is against the law and they were taken into police custody for a while. It was a good thing and I hope it scared them enough not to do anything like it again.

I never said it wasn't a big deal, but you people are talking about something that happened five years ago. Yes, what they did is wrong, but they have not been in any trouble since then. They are good kids. Too focused on sports to do anything to mess that up, so learn to give people the benefit of a doubt. People make mistakes. Some people keep making the same ones, and others totally redeem themselves by making a turnaround. Leave this topic alone. It's old news.
