How expensive can this be?
Maybe, the 'makers of the budget' have their priorities wrong?

For sure they have their priorities wrong. During the boon of 2004 and 2005 the State Legislature spent money hand over fist, giving pay raises and creating new programs.
In 2006 they had to go into a special session to decide how to spend it all, when it should have been returned to the taxpayers.
Then oil revenues began to decline, unemployment began to rise, less income tax and sales taxes going into the coffers.
The 2009 congress was faced with enormous obligations and less money to cover them.
Wait and see what happens if the voters approve SQ744 on the ballot next year. The HOPE ACT will increase the amount of money per student on education, but there is no provision in the act for funding it.
I read one article that said over 8000 prisoners would have to be released.

Since the cuts in food, I was forced to eat little fluffy yesterday. Tastes like chicken. I have a potatoe, and an onion, and am going to make a nice stew today with the leftovers. She'll be missed.

Fluffy made a great stew! She was delicious! I recommend French cuisine when you're hungry.

I sure do miss that little poodle of mine. Throwing her ball for hours on end. Watching her quiver while I eat a bowl of ice cream. But, she went well with a fine Bordeau.
