My heart goes out to Paige's family. I know through this tragedy she has saved other teens from trying drugs. She will never be forgotten.
May God bless her family and friends & keep them strong.

Hopefully, the police will start getting on top of the problem here. Everyone knows that RHS has a huge drug problem in it, but no one wants to upset the "rich folk".

All schools and all neighborhoods have a drug problem. The only people to blame are the parents. They allow their kids to do anything and everything they want. They stay out late hooking up, come in late, or don't come home at all. What will it take for parents to rein their children in? It certainly isn't the huge presence at Lakepointe church each week...it is a facade.

paige was one of my best friends in elementary...one of the only girls who even tried to befriend me. when i found out about her death i went through pictures of her at my party and us at FBC rockwall's fall festival just four years ago. after i moved two years ago, i only talked to her once. it hurts to find out when friends die in such a horrible way. I will remember her forever.

she had so much messed up in her life...i think if teens had people to support them it would help. each one thinks they are alone in their problems, whether it be in family dying or divorce or anything. if she had only known that money and drugs wouldn't have solved anything, things would have been different. she wasn't the only friend i lost in the garland/rowlett/rockwall area

And the Rockwall High school system does not want to recognize that they have a drug problem there. Ignorance is bliss!

You notice that three kids that have had a drug overdose or committed suicide in the last 18 months have all been big Lakepointe attendees. I have heard from numerous teens that there are drugs all over the place at the teen events up there like "skate church". They say there is little supervision and that even police know about it. RHS has a huge problem too and neither the school or the church are doing anything about it.

I made it through my entire young life never trying drugs. And it's not because they weren't offered.

The excuses teens use today for getting into drugs just doesn't hold water with me. They aren't under anymore stress, there's no great depression in their life. They're just bored and looking for kicks. Same as the kids who ride on the roofs of cars and fall off to their deaths, same as the ones who ride on a skateboard behind a speeding car and fall to their deaths...same as the ones whose daddy buys them some lil streetracer car, in which they crash and die.

Teens' stupidity is the single greatest cause of their own deaths.

The worst thing I ever did in high school....or perhaps middle school I think it was actually...was taking one drag on a cigarette. I took it, it sucked, I didn't take another.

People offered me drugs, I said no. They didn't offer them to me again.

My parents were divorced....I was a picked-on type of kid all through middle school and such.

The 'great depression' teens whine about is called LIFE.

Those who can deal with it, do. Those who can't...die, and free up the gene pool for the rest.

Yep americas future leaders, teenagers have a choice, choices have consequences, unfortunately if in fact she did overdose, she has done a horrible disservice not only to her self but to friends and family. Truly a shame to surrender your life to chemical dependency at any age. How many of you out there are "Slaves"??!!!

All of 'em. They either conform to...everything. Or they all conform to their non-conformity. Wearing their punk or goth attire like a uniform.

It's sad.

Drugs Are The Number One Thing Over In Rockwall Yes... Because I Go To RHS But Its Funny Really... Everyone Thinks That We're On Heroin Or Cheese or Something... This Is Not True... The Number One Drug At Our School Is Marijuana... I Have Never Been Offered Something Like Speed or Whatever Major Drug Is Out There... But On The Other Hand I Have Been Offered Pot Many Times Before... Its Quite A Problem When I Walk In The Bathroom For A Piss And Some Senior Is Offering Me A Bong & Pot For 30 Bucks... But I Don't Care... Whenever I Do Get Pot... I Just Give It To My Friends I Don't Care... Or Sell It To My Football Friends... It's Funny... I'm Apart Of The Problem And Don't Care... Oh Well I'm Going To Hell Anyways...

We were all teens once. Teens' lives haven't changed much...only their ability to handle it and make semi-decent choices. The teens today can't seem to have their good judgment win out over their desires to emulate the jackasses or britneys of the world.

I love it when people use the love for Christ as some kind of excuse to show they aren't bad people. "Oh he killed dozens of people brutally but he loves Christ." As if all it takes is the love of Christ to be a good person.

I'm not saying Paige was a bad person....don't even know her. But the excuse of "but she loved Christ" is just lame. Lots of people 'love Christ' and were still bad people. And if "she loved Chris" is the best thing you can point at to illustrate she was a good person...clearly she went wrong in life.

Sheesh.

Paige was a good person for lots of reasons. She was a good friend to a lot of people. She was a kind and considerate girl that I was lucky to know. Paige touched a lot of people in her 16 years that will never ever forget her. That was obvious when I went to her family's home and witnessed the many, many family and friends that came to pay their respects. If this had been your friend, sister, daughter, grand daughter or niece you would not have the same thoughts about her. Her good friend Haley was only pointing out that the extra bonus in Paige's life was that she had a love for Christ. That was not an excuse but a fact! I wish more and more teens could say that! Let's try not to judge but to understand the problem and possibly make a better life for the teens in Rockwall and other cities as well.

I knew PLENTY of teens that could say that and they smoked, drank, and did drugs. Oh but they were in church on sunday, as it that mattered considering what they did to their bodies during the rest of the week.
