The Alcombright appointees are at it again. Last month the Housing Authority voted a $15,000 pay raise for the Ex. Director on a 3-2 vote. Now we know why Dick Dassati was thrown off the board by the mayor. Of course the three yes votes were all recent mayoral appointments, James Canavan (President Mary Grant's husband), Chris Tremblay, and some new labor appointee that replaced Dasatti. You will never read about it in the Transcript or iberkshire as they continue to ignore all the games being played by this administration. Is there an editor at the Transcript? Time for the Transcript to close their doors and let the Eagle take over as at least they have the guts to keep an eye on city government in Pittsfield. Imagine a $15,000 pay raise and not one word in the press.

The Housing Authority receives NO MONEY from the City of North Adams. The Housing Authority is a Federaly funded entity. Do some homework before you attempt to start a non issue.

Many of the people ruining this county, state, country, and world either advocate for, fell prey to, or commit buggery themselves. It's getting so bad that Berkshire County may just slide to the south right into the ocean taking NYC with it. Happy Thanksgiving to one of the most corrupt and perverted counties and state since Caligula and the Roman Empire. Ernst Roehm would be proud too. History is indeed repeating itself and those that disagree are either too dumb or just smart enough to take advantage and saction it all while the peasants fall apart like our currency. I love diversity and you should too.

It is not a non-issue as whether is Federal, State or local money as it is still public money. The employees are also members of the City of North Adams Retirement Board and all their property is free of property taxes. How can this board justify this kind of raise? You like many others fail to understand that the State as well as Feds oversee Housing Authorities and they are an oversight agency. In fact there are several Housing Authorities under investigation right now and North Adams soon will be also. I know that the Transcript reporter is well aware of the sweetheart contract the present director has and refuses to investigate because her editor is afraid to cross the Mayor. When Alcombright threw Dick Dasatti off the board for asking questions he demonstrated his true colors. How can this guy Foster as an editor of a paper pass out turkeys to the needy while at the same time not report on a pay raise which equals what the average income is in North Adams?

Estimated median household income in 2009:$29,675 That was from a quick internet search. State median at tht time was a little under $65,000. Of course, the cost of living in much of the state is higher too. I didn't check further to see if there were more current data. @Transcript Rag - how do you know that the members of the City of North Adams Retirement Board don't pay property taxes?
