Translation: "They're using our kids like they used them on Prop 2 1/2. They're not thinking of the kids. They are thinking of the mayor so they can keep their health insurance."

Totally inaccurate as well as poorly written.

Being a "bobblehead" is a positive thing when the bobbing head is agreeing with what's right and true. The peanut gallery at the council meetings are also "bobbleheads," all bobbing along with Bob!

While I agree that a few of the people against this project are selfish assholes, I believe that there are many more people who are confused about what the options are. I keep hearing that it would be better to build a new hi-tech school, and while this would be the best thing, it really is not an option right now. The Conte project could begin almost immediately at a cost of about $6 million to the N.A. taxpayers, while a new school would take years to be designed and built at a cost that could be tens of millions of dollars more for the N.A. taxpayer.

But Dickie threw others off and protected his pals on the council and John Derosa. Ain't what you know but who you know.

He also booted his mother off of the insurance, and he turned in the company car and expense account,(that Barrett drained on his last day,(ever), in office).
DA isn't protecting his pals.
It's either above board or it's gone.

I am not sure, but the state has laws regarding who must be covered under a city's benefits. If I am not mistaken, the city council is required to be covered as an employee.

Conte will be a high tech school! They are proposing a complete gut of the existing building! Everything will be brand new from the wiring and plumbing to the windows, doors, and floors! The only old stuff will be the bricks that hold it up! And they will probably be sand blasted to look new! It will be a NEW school!

If the vote fails are there going to be mass suicides of new school supporters? Because you folks seem to be hanging on by a very thin thread

the only mass suicide will be from the people that don't support the new school, when the bill for repairs, and ADA compliance comes in for Sullivan school, and a new roof for conte, and the city will have to pay for it with no assistance from the state.

Yes! I would vote again for the mayor and all but 1 councilman (Bloom) again. They have been pretty good for the city! Less strife than the past mayor and council. Breen is a tiger! The city is moving forward at a pace is acceptable, considering the mess that the prior mayor left for the current.

Councilors are eligible to be covered under the City insurance---but some may have better coverage from other programs----for example---my state program was better so I did not use the City's program----one Councilor I know was already covered by his spouse's City policy--so how many are covered as Councilors?? I don't know--but they are eligible to be so

School committees have never been covered and are unpaid elected officials. No pay, no insurance.

You gave reasons for voting again for the current "bobbleheads" (God, I hate that term), but you did not give a reason for not voting for Bloom... Thoughts, reasons? This is not a critisism, I would just like to hear your reasons.
