The state school building authority has rejected a 'two school option' for the city. So it looks like one school, or none.

I agree!!!! But then I got "told" that I don't pay enough attention because I did not realize that Sullivan was closing. There must be another way, other than Conte. But who am I? I'm only a parent.

Best option is fixing Sullivan and Greylock. The State never saw that proposal and if they did it would have been approved. The powers to be wanted Conte from the begining and thats why the Sullivan and Greylock plan never saw the light of day.

Why is the state set on one school for the money. I would love to see Sullivan, Greylock & Brayton be k-7 or 8. Conte SHOULD be sold as commercial property.

Unfortunately, I don't think so now. iberkshires said something about the state inspecting all school involved and decided on Conte as best financially. At least, that's my take on it. Of course, they probably do not have children of their own attending NA schools. So, they do not think like parents.

That is false. The consultants Barrett requested the city to spend $600,000 on came back with five proposals. Financially, structurally and design pointed to Conte as the best option except for doing two schools which the state wouldn't approve. Sullivan is a poorly built school on thee levels costing $5 million more than Conte.

Yes-- but that was in my wayward youth when I wanted to jam everything in the hole
