What was he doing with all those dogs leaving them in the garage all the time what a sick f--- he is. Was he one of those puppy mills that we hear so much going on right here in North Adams.
Glad someone reported him, glad they were thinking of the dogs and puppies thank you for speaking up you did the right thing. Thank you dog officer, for doing what your paid to do protect the animals great job.
With the number of dogs Rick had the city SHOULD press charges against him were talking about 31 dogs not 3..

It doesn't say a name or area of town. Rick? What part of town was this? Had to be hidden on a back area.

For all to know. There were not 31 dogs. This was not a puppy mill. People that throw out names that were never released is questionable. Was this a vendetta against the couple. People should really get the facts straight before they comment, also what comes around goes around. Some people have nothing better to do with their time but to stick their noses into other peoples business where it does not belong.

If Rick took care of the dogs and got them spayed and neuter he wouldn't be in a mess that he is now the city should hang him by his balls if he has any which I doubt Rick never took care of his dogs. Why would the dog officer take the dogs away if they had a good home think you are just nuts like Rick maybe your his ugly wife. If you knew what was going on an said nothing you should be locked up too looooser. Rick is a grown man stop making excuses about his behavior he was wrong and his dogs paid the price by living in filth.

What was it then people are not allowed to own that many dogs in North Adams were the dog licensed did the dogs have their rabbesi shots? The dogs were barking for 3 hr it wasn't just that one day the dogs were barking they barked everyday for hrs. I would have called the cops to on him scum bucket. Know one of his neighbors Rick never took care of those dogs it the best thing the city could have done for the dogs now the should lock Rick. Hope they put a court order on Rick so he can never own another animal in his life...

I think the neighbor should also be charged. They should have reported this way sooner! And then to complain only about the barking How could you allow this to occur and not do anything about it. They had to be aware of the abuse and conditions these poor dogs were living in. Another breeder even told me that they were investigating Rick a few years back and by accident stopped at the neighbors and the neighbor referred them to Rick as the one having puppies and when asked about the health of the puppies, their neighbor said they seemed alright.
Both of them should be fined for this. If you observe something like this, you should report it right away.

The neighbor did what they could do the owner of the dogs is responsible for the dogs alone he a adult not a child. Neighbors complains years ago but the city did nothing. Put the blame on the owner thats where the blame belongs and it sounds like you knew a lot to about the dogs so you are just as guilty as Rick is to you should have done more...

Sometimes an animal owner becomes overwhelmed. N A had a new dog officer, now. I'm sure Rick was relieved about the rescue.

He was so relieved that he avoided the board of health for a week or two until they were all able to get in and see for themselves? So overwhelmed that he couldn't help these dogs with emb. cords still on after a month, full of fleas and poop? There are MANY animal lovers and organizations that would have helped him, but he didn't ask. Just kept trying to sell them for over $800.00 each. But he couldn't afford shots or neuter/spay. I call bull!

Read this article from News 10 ABC...It states "Officials say it was not a hoarding or puppy mill situation, just a breeder who got in a little over his head."
"When we took them in they were muddy, but aside from that they were great," said Berkshire Humane Society Director, Cheryl Truskowski."
The new Animal control officer is an animal activist 100%...I did not know it was illegal to make $ off of breeding dogs. Way to slander the name of the owners. Its a shame more care isn't given to abused children. Flex those muscles...
