JB3 was right 1400 people signed the petition, so those in power didn't inform the people as good as they thought.

So if you disagree and have a different view on the issue your a r.r. and venomous ? So what does that make the others who want it? Right, smarter etc..

I want to hear the argument against it. I can be open minded.

But, don't tell me reasons you don't like the Conte location. Don't tell me why a new Greylock or Sullivan would be better. Those conversations were for a different time. Right now, the discussion is about accepting 80% funding for a new school or not accepting it. There isn't going to be a checkbox for building a new Greylock or saving Sullivan. Those aren't options.

Maybe you think that it would be cheaper (less than 6 million) for the taxpayers to enlarge and fix up Sullivan and Greylock. Maybe you think everyone is lying to us about the condition, size and ADA issues and nothing really needs to be done at all. It's a big waste of money. I'm not really sure what the argument is against this because the only things I've heard that people don't like is the location.

So, I'm ready to hear why I should vote against accepting $24M assistance to fix a school building issue that isn't going away with a no vote.

If the city refuses the money being offered by the state, the ENTIRE cost of fixing existing buildings will have to be paid for by the citizens of North Adams. Watch the Cardimino gang go ballistic when they are asked to pay more taxes to cover the expense! They better be careful what they wish for!

Your math skills demonstrate exactly why something dramatic needs to be done to improve the schools, including better facilities.

How. can anyone in thier right mind not see that now is the time to take the dough and run? Build the school now. These 1400 people who were misled and coerced into signing the petition should look at the real facts and vote to buld the school.

You should have heard the spiels given when they were gathering signatures! They were all given the talking points memo to follow when seeking people to sign the petition.
