Mayor Shuts Down Hazleton Bar

Take away the gunshots, stabbing, and a link to the Bloods street gang and La Cantina Bar on North Wyoming Street in Hazleton is not a bad joint.

My husband an I owned a nice little pub in Spring Township, Berks County since 1971. In 1986 the township allowed a steel facility next door. Noise, toxic fumes, rape and death threats, their love of drugs and dealing and their wishes to deal on our property caused us to close and leave our beautiful property.

We could not be forced to participate in or to allow illegal activities there.

Also we did not want to be harmed anymore, threatened or killed.

Meth, pot and coke were sold and used, at least 2 died of drug activities/usage. The bosses not concerned as long as they were making money.

We lost our nice little business and home because we would NOT participate in the drug/criminal world.

It is truly difficult for me to believe that some townships/corporations/DAs really do not want drugs in their areas.

What a pathetic state!!!!!!
