Anna Arias, a member of the Hazleton Area Latino Taskforce, feels racism is at the heart of Hazleton’s illegal immigration issue. Arias was born in the Dominican Republic and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1980.

Ms Arias, you swore an oath to become a naturalized US citizen in 1980. By advocating violation of Federal laws an the US Constitution, you are violating the oath for which you swore to uphold!

The oath of allegiance is:

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

Ms Arias, you swore to uphold the laws of the US Constitution an the laws of the United States of America!!!!!!

US CONSTITUTION/ FEDERAL law:

Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien,"
any citizen of any country other than the United States who:

Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place
other than as designated by immigration officers; or

Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or

Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully
false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a
material fact; has committed a federal crime.

Hazleton, PA. area welcomed thousands of LEGAL IMMIGRANT from multitudes of ethnic groups during the past couple centuries. These ethnic groups enriched the community with their culture, their strong commitment to family and faith. These groups brought strong work ethics, love of country and law, and worked hard to build a community where their families would know a better life.

The Hazleton area welcomed Anna Arias, when she became a naturalized citizen and was appointed by a political party trying to usurp Federal laws. Ms Arias enjoyed working with Catholic Social Services, as part of government, and living among other LEGAL IMMIGRANTS!

Then, Ms Arias wanted Hazleton to do something she swore NOT to do - to allow illegals to violate US laws. When Hazleton people spoke up, Ms Arias likened them to Nazis and racists!

Let's look at the differences. Racism is about feeling one's race is better than another person's race. What does that have to do with violating Federal law and illegally entering the U.S.?

Ms Arias, then, resorts to more childhood name-calling by likening Hazleton to Nazi's. What a horrible insult to the legal immigrant families, living in the Hazleton area for centuries! What a HORRIBLE thing to say to all the Hebrew people whose families died because they were Jews, living in their HOME LANDs.

Hazleton families don't want to KILL any groups of people...nor steal from them...nor harm them. Hazleton people just expect everyone to do what they have done for centuries - abide by US laws! Hazleton people are guaranteed by the US Constitution that they will have taxation with representation. Hazleton people have been guaranteed the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness because they are US citizens. They don't want their community ruined by outlaws. Ms Arias, if you loved your country so much - you would want the same thing. You would not want people to harm your community or your country...you SWORE this oath on a bible.

Are you, Ms Arias, committing acts of treason against your country???

. Agapito Lopez of the Hazleton Latino Association, a retired ophthalmologist, of Puerto Rico, and member of HALT - The Hazleton Area Latino Task Force...who resides in KINGSTON???

"Any law that opposes the law of God is not a law that should be obeyed, even though it may lead to incarceration."

Sorry, Mr Lopez, this is not a Martin Luther King thing where US born citizens are denied their rights guaranteed by the US Constitution...this is about abiding by US laws that were written to stop criminal acts! You could no more sexually abuse a child, try to kill someone in the Executive Branch or commit treason against your country than illegally enter the U.S.

Ms Lopez, did you swear to uphold the laws of the United States? If so, then you should agree that violators should be arrested.

You claim people will question Latinos as if they might be illegal aliens? How do you think African-Americans feel when they drive nice cars in wealthy areas? There are TONS of people who have experienced discrimination: women who compose the majority of the population and have never seen a women president...and ALL the LEGAL immigrants who arrived in the Hazleton area have known discrimination. Allowing illegal aliens to violate Federal law is NOT the answer to discrimination! The two have NOTHING to do with each other...one has to do with a need to improve the US and the other is ILLEGAL! Why should Latinos bear less responsibility to improving relations within US' melting pot than any other group??? Latinos aren't special! If course, Latinos must adhere to US laws as the rest of us!

The incidence of oral cancer due to a virus transmitted during oral sex has increased steeply over the last 30 years, according to research in the US. And scientists relate this trend to changes in people's sexual behaviour.

The number of tongue, mouth and throat cancers due to the sexually transmitted human papilloma virus (HPV), which can also cause cervical cancer in women, rose by about a third from 1973 to 2004, say researchers.

The team led by Maura Gillison at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, US, studied trends in oral cancers recorded by US National Cancer Institute registries.

Earlier work by this team and others had established a link between certain strains of the common sexually transmitted virus and oral cancer. The latest study, which looked at nearly 46,000 cases, is the first to quantify an increase in mouth and throat cancers due to sexual activity.

HAZLETON – State Attorney General Tom Corbett announced Thursday that law enforcement officers broke up a $31 million cocaine trafficking ring that had been operating in the city and surrounding communities for at least the past three years.

ILLEGAL ALIENS are criminals due to violating Federal law. Why should Hazleton or PA. have to spend all this money to catch illegal aliens selling drugs via gangs?

among those arrested was the alleged ring leader of the trafficking organization – Jorge “The Don” Rivera, 39, of 15 E. Broad St., Hazleton. Agents believe Rivera was responsible for the distribution of about 2 kilos of cocaine per week in the Hazleton area, Corbett said.

The organization allegedly made $200,000 per week and more than $31 million over the past three years from cocaine sales, he said.

Corbett also noted that agents allegedly made numerous controlled buys of cocaine from Rafael “Andy” Lebron, the operator of a barber shop in Hazleton, and from Jose Gonzalez, a high-ranking member of the Hispanic street gang the Latin Kings.

Using wire taps on their phones, agents learned that Gonzalez and Lebron had a “widespread customer base in the Hazleton area,” Corbett said.

• On May 16, an undercover officer made a controlled buy from Gonzalez in the West Hazleton Elementary-Middle School parking lot. Gonzalez had a large quantity of cocaine, which he divided and measured in front of the officer in the parking lot.

GANGS entering small cities and towns - small cities and towns can't afford to catch criminals who are in the U.S. illegally.

Corbett thanked the Hazleton and Butler Township police departments and the Luzerne County Drug Task Force for their assistance in the investigation.

Mayor Lou Barletta thanked Corbett for providing the manpower and money to conduct the investigation, and all the officers involved, especially the city’s Narcotics Division detectives.

WHERE IS OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to stop illegal aliens?

"Anna Arias, a member of the Hazleton Area Latino Taskforce, feels racism is at the heart of Hazleton’s illegal immigration issue. Arias was born in the Dominican Republic and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1980."

How is Anna Arias helping her beloved city by blaming racism for Hazleton, a city of mostly legal immigrant families, wanting criminals to leave Hazleton?

Three out of four legal Americans want more done to control illegal immigration, but most ask "What can I do about it?" You can take action by joining and contributing to ALI-PAC - Americans for Legal Immigration.

Illegal aliens are violating Federal law and are criminals. Law enforcement doesn't care if a bank robber or drug seller is a nice person who wants to live a better life; law enforcement is paid to provide public safety and enforce laws.

JUST ONE STATE - CALIFORNIA =

From the L.A. Times:

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County (L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for
cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants
working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal,
whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from
south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking (paid by public tax dollars - FCC)

10. In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.
(There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County .)

(All 10 of the above are from the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare. Over 70% of the United States' annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York) results from immigration.

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

In 2003, according to the Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles, 57,600 cars were stolen in Phoenix. It is now the car-jacking capital of the world. Most were SUV’s and pickup trucks. At a conservative average of $15,000.00 per vehicle, owner losses exceeded $864 million. Insurance companies in the state suffered incredible claims from policyholders.

Arizona is the temporary home of 500,000 illegal aliens. They cost Arizona taxpayers over $1 billion annually in services for schools, medical care, welfare anchor babies, loss of tax base and prisons. Illegals use those vehicles for smuggling more people and drugs from around the world into our country. When the vehicles are recovered, they are smashed-up wrecks in the desert. If not found, they have new owners south of the border as thieves drive the cars through the desert and into Mexico as easily as you drive your kids to soccer practice. THAT’s how porous our borders are!

IS THIS RACISM or CRIMINAL and HIGHWAY ROBBERY?

Illegal aliens displaced American workers at a cost in excess of $133 billion dollars last year according to Harvard Professor George Borjas. College and high school kids cannot find a summer job in yard care, landscape, fast food or service jobs. Why? Illegal aliens work them at a third the wage and often, under the table.

Not only do your kids not have jobs; you’re paying taxes for illegal aliens who are not paying taxes.

Annually, 75 percent of drugs arrive from Mexico at a net cost of $120 billion hard currency that leaves our country for good. In addition, our tax dollars pay $80 billion for the War on Drugs each year. It is a war that hasn’t been won in the past 30 years and drugs are as available today to your teenager as they were in 1970.

When an alien criminal gets caught for rape, murder or drug distribution, you pay $1.6 billion annually in prison costs to house, feed and clothe those filling 30 percent of our federal and state prisons—not to mention TV, movies, weight rooms and other entertainment—they enjoy while being incarcerated.

Is your blood boiling at this point? How about illegal alien anchor babies? Over 300,000 women annually arrive pregnant and drop them on U.S. soil. You pay food, housing, medical and schooling for them to age 18 PLUS their mother. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, average annual cost per child K-12 is $7,161.00 and exceeds $109 billion annually per cycle of anchor babies. That’s your money given out to 300,000 moms and their kids annually and all they did was get pregnant and birth that child on U.S. soil.

1. Build a wall not a fence, man the wall 24 - 7 and use real ammunition. Mexico's most southern border has a wall on it, shitco does not like immigrants from central america and have been known to kill illegals.

2. Deport all illegals - support the wall and deport the illegals. I suggest taking the 3500.00 dollars that you gave to an individual to bring you over illegally and give it to Uncle Sam for legal entry. What a concept! That means you would have to play the game by the rules, interesting concept.

They dont take "your" jobs they take jobs YOU wouldn't do.

I do believe that to live in this country it is only right to become a citizen but what people dont understand is that the racism is there. I was born in the united states. Both of my Parents were born in the Dominican Republic and became citizens in the late 70's. I have been living in Hazleton for 3 years now and never in my life have I experienced the racism I have since living here. I speak english very well, heck English is my favorite subject yet when I go somewhere they ask me (most of the time) if I need a translator. I dont get it. Or they give me papers in spanish. I actually speak better english that I do spanish but I feel that the hispanic community in Hazleton get treated unfairly because other uneducated people feel that all hispanics are immigrants. We need to remember that the united states have been built by immigrants and appreciate those who came before us to make this country the equal opportunity place it is today.

you cant even say that, of course we dont need those jobs because we have an education, and can get better jobs. the people who need those jobs are too poor to reply back to this because they dont have internet or computers.... seriously, why dont you sp!cs use your brains for once and think!

theres racism cuz the coal region is white, just like how you sp!cs like to live in your sp!c neighbors, we whites like to live with whites. Our ancestors mined coal in this area for generations and are proud of that. Hispanics did nothing of that kind, nor did they take part in making this area what it is today. The only thing that thing that yous did do was bring crime into halzeton. Before the hispanic movement there was hardly any crime in halzeton, and now theres gunshots and robbings dailey, not to mention the gang problem.

Why dont you stop being so damn inorgant and wake up and see that the hispanics are ruining a once beautiful town.

1. Government evidences a myth that illegal aliens are working jobs that others won't do. It is more true illegal aliens are paid illegal wages, under illegal work conditions. After illegal aliens were removed from a chicken plant in GA., all positions were immediately taken by US residents.

2. The U.S. established laws. If a person obeys laws, they may legally enter the U.S. If not, illegal aliens are criminals violating laws.

3. Rather than a "Proud Hispanic American," wouldn't you be a Proud U.S. American?

4. Did a former Hazleton mayor bring immigrants into Hazleton illegally?

Who (race) commits the majority of crimes in Hazleton?

What is the cost to Hazleton for ESL services 20, 10 and today? Why should Hazleton bear this cost? What is the percent of your race requiring translated materials?

If English is your favorite primary language, why would you not capitalize the Hispanic race, write incomplete sentences or incorrectly punctuate? Just asking.

How are you improving the problem in Hazleton? Anyone could complain.

P.S. Nearly all Caucasian Hazleton residents were born to LEGAL immigrant grandparents or great-grandparents. ALL of those immigrants had to speak English; Hazleton did not have to bear the costs of printing documents in other languages nor teaching ESL in public schools (paid by taxpayers).

Hazleton is known for its LEGAL immigrants who served in the U.S. military - followed by their children and grand-children. How many Hazleton Hispanics served in the U.S. military?

Legal Hazleton immigrants (until recent past within 20 years) rarely, if ever, requested financial government benefits i.e. welfare, Social Security before retirement, etc. What is the percent of Hispanics requesting government financial support in Hazleton?

During the late 1800s and ealy 1900s, LEGAL Hazleton immigrants had to bring $25.(would be thousands and thousands today), possess excellent health, be the responsibility of a family member and work at a productive trade. How does this compare to the more recent Hispanic population?

YOu are scum! If Hazleton was all white, we'd still have crime! Period. What the Italians did to hurt the Italian people is also a DISGRACE. The reason why it was kept in check is because the federal government put its might behind the fight. Without such a push, WHITE PEOPLE, red-blooded, WHITE Italians would be destroying Hazleton just as they, presently, are in Italy.

You probably adore the Mob, so I'll consider the source.

I don't give a shit about you and your family or background! If you are here taking money from the American government/american people then you need to go home. I suggest closing the gravy train down, no more free ride. Let me explain - you go and try to find a job and the lady at the desk hands you the application to fill out - it is in english and they should expect it to be filled out in english. Question number 1 says are you an American citizen - the company follows up on whether you are or not and takes your application and shreds it in front of you. No jobs - No homes - No free medical - No free food stamps - No free dental - No free education - No driver license - No nothing - you will leave. The average illegal does not want American citizenship, they want to keep their status as is - free free free. If you give them citizenship - oh oh - now the illegal will have to step up to the plate and play like an American(No more free ride jose!) How will the poor bastard sell his meth if he is legal - how will the bastard sell his cocain - how will the bastard sell his heroin - get my drift?

Think about this - the little fucker steals across the border immediately illegal. He doesn't want the red white and blue he just wants you to take him in and feed, house, give him a job, speak his language, see where I am heading with this - he doesn't love your country he loves the money. Wise up! Don't be a fool! People in the United States who are protecting this trash need to kicked out along with the trash(trash befriends trash always remember that!)

We need to stop coddling their asses, shut down the gravy train - no more free medical, housing, jobs, nothing - they will leave the way they came!

Here is an idea: 47 million(that is the number the gov. is spewing) people are uninsured - 30 million of which are illegal. HMMMMMMMMMMM I lose 30 million illegals because I decide I am no longer paying their way - now 17 million are uninsured real Americans(more manageable) I will help them. We don't need a government healthcare bailout! Just take the trash out(kind of like Friday trash day) it is the kind of trash that will move on its own. If the trash wants to demonstrate in the street and complain, use fire hoses on their filthy asses and get them the hell out of here. If they continue to cause trouble get the military out and persuade them with real ammunition. It will probably come down to a little bit of persuasion. The border is broken fix it, I notice here in Indy they are building walls around the interstates for sound protection and they build fast. Amazing what Americans can build if they are motivated, do the same on the border. Building a real border might take 2 years - I volunteer(that is free for those of you who are asking). I don't want one thin dime!

Building a real border has added advantage, helps the economy by putting people to work. A person working is a person too busy to cause trouble or busy hands are not the devils tools.( I like that ) Have a great day!
