I wanted to warn anyone thinking of parking in plaza lot to take bus. The Belford tow truck waited like a mugger till I got on the bus then immediately towed my vehicle. The sign? 10 Feet up the lamp Post does not say tow away zone and was missed by me unfortunately because of its placement. Tenants informed me that the tow truck stalks around every day to catch unsuspecting victims. All involved should be ashamed.

Awful owner to do that to people. Should place signs where they can be seen.

That's why businesses fail and service to customers take a hit. You have owners and operators like this who scare away customers and alienate patrons. The person who got towed has friends. Those friends I'm sure go to stores in the plaza. Or at least they did until word of this stuff gets out. It's a shame that owners don't take care of PEOPLE.

Not everyone wants to park at Cheesquake. Sometimes you want to stop in and have breakfast or lunch or whatever and then hop on the bus. Just because you don't agree doesn't make people idiots.

Here is the bottom line. If your not supposed to park at Airport Plaza, and you get towed, What's the problem? The problem is that you are not obeying the LAW. Yes IDIOT.

It's not a law. It's the owner of the mall's decision to have the vehicles towed. But he doesn't have to do it. He's basically saying you can park there if you only buy things at the stores. If you buy something there and then take the bus to work you're gonna be towed. Not really the best way to keep customers coming back to the strip mall. Before you start calling people idiots know your laws first. So far out of the comments here the only idiot is the one calling us one.

Why shouldn't you be towed. The parking spots are for customers who shop there. What if EVERYONE left their cars in the parking lot to catch the bus. There would be no spots available. I am not calling everyone an idiot. Just you. Park at cheesquake. Don't leave your car at airport plaza. Its for shoppers to go in and out. Not for you whos disrespectful in leaving your car un-attended all day long.

I love the fact that you commuters think you can leave your car wherever you want with no consequences.

First of all I'm not a commuter and don't use the bus line. Second, I am a customer who listens to other customers talk about poor service and owner techniques that push customers away. If you frequent the stores and then happen to go to work, who cares. You're not filling the lot and preventing others from parking. That was never an issue. So if a person stops in at Perkins and buys breakfast, goes to work and returns then goes into IEI or the exchange or any of the other stores he should be dumped on because he left his/her car in the lot. Not really a good way to keep customers.

You should just worry about Keyport and your issues and not start trouble in Hazlet.

Why would you say I was causing problems. I just think that business owners need to get back to the task of taking care of customers. Especially during these times when every cent counts. There isn't a parking problem at the strip mall so there's no urgency to tow cars. If these people were taking up valuable spaces that prevented customers from going to stores that would be another issue. This is just unnecessary and not a smart business move. Just saying. If the owner of the mall wants to dump on people I guess that's his privilege.

Fyi. The tow truck hired by the mall owner waited and did not warn or inform customer that this was a tow zone. Customer was from another area and did not see sign. Tow man actually waited like a mugger waiting to pounce. Tenants state owner refuses to post row away zone signs. So. Since no one wants to be towed what does this say about the owner of mall?

What it says about the owner of the mall is that there are laws and they know how to enforce them. Obey the rules. Don't leave your car unattended at Airport Plaza!

I got towed from there once and I live in the Hazlet area .First what sucks is coming back and not knowing what happened to your car , and second is having to go through the BS to get your vehicle back, but they do sit like hawks up there .In my case I had an emergency in the city and was forced to park there even though it was wrong, but even with my shield on car I still got a ticket .But you know what? karma is a bitch ,and I will make sure that eventually the kid that towed my car will soon be getting his out of impound lot.It might not be today or tomorrow but somewhere in the future, you know what they say what comes around goes around and Ialready know who you are!

I love it when people say "It's the law", like they know what the laws are. The no parking ordinance is not a law. It's a private property perogative. Owners can, but don't have to post the notices they do. The owner of the property is having a hissy fit because people park in the lot and get on the bus. Boo hoo. What a creep. Like I said, it doesn't matter if these drivers have used the stores in the mall. They still get towed. I know people that got towed from that lot and now they don't shop or frequent that strip mall. All it does is hurt customers and alienate people. It's a poor business practice that doesn't have to happen.

Wow. Just had a call from someone who lives in the area. All new signs posted warning of tow zone. And at car level. Had they been there before I as an out of towner would not have parked there. At least now you know the deal and risk. Good outcome

The problem with the world today is that we have people out their like you who just don't know right from wrong. Wait sorry? Don't care. Very dispecpectful. Why should you be the only one to park there. If everyone did it then there would be a problem. They need to stop it when it first happens so that it doesn't set the stage for everyone to think it's OK. Your just like every other spineless person out there in the fact that "IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU".
