What does an "A" mean? that we pleased the people doing the marking?

It does not change the fact that MS is not where people want to live and create.

Until the schools can discipline students educating them will remain difficult. But neither the upper nor lower socioeconomic communities will allow their children to be disciplined so education will continue to stagnate. And more expensive studies will be made looking at all the trivial, non issues and recommending long range efforts that lead no where.

Training them might be difficult but the world does not need more trained slaves. To educate takes someone that inspires. We do not have people working in education take inspire or they would be doing something that they be inspired themselves. Most teachers quit in less than 5 years. The system does not give them the freedom to inspire as it demands standardized widgets. Children are free should that all do something different.

If the little buggars can't be expected to arrive to class on time and sit down and pay attention to their instructor there won't be any education. Inspired or otherwise.

The educational model of the classroom does not work in today's culture. Education can be a product of individual motivation without public schools.
