Maybe instead of giving out free food and such we should be giving out free BIRTH CONTROL to all of those low lifers who lay up all day and make babies they can't afford!!!

And before someone on here gets started....no its' no the children's fault.....but the children also don't deserve low-life parents either. There are lots of childless couples who would love to take care of a child!!!

I just heard a report this week on what Mexico does with illegal people in their country. If I can find it, I'll share. They sure don't treat illegals as well as we do in the good old USA.

I am so tired of paying for every piece of nogood nonworking sorry goodfornothing to have three square meals a day. Anybody else feel that way? I was in the grocery store tonight and a lady and her teen daughter were loading up. I know its thanksgiving but let me tell you what she bought with OUR money. She had a turkey, two whole hams, three pints of oysters, two huge pkgs of chicken breasts,a huge whole pork loin, about ten pounds of frozen butterbeans, a readymade cheesecake and to top it all off was four tbones which looked as if they weighed about three pounds each. Guess how she paid for that 279 dollars worth of food? Yep. That little card with the two peaches on it. She will didn't have enough on her card so the teen pulled hers out to finish it up. I am totally disgusted. I work hard for my money and never eat steak oysters or cheesecake cause I can't afford it.then I see that I am feeding this scum good food with my money. We have to stop this.
at least she had relatively healthy food, barring the cheesecake. and even people on benefits should be able to treat once in a while.

my family consists of 5 people: my husband and i, our 2 children, and my elderly mother. i work part-time and my husband is full-time at the same job for over 14 years. we struggle to get by every month yet the state says we dont qualify for benefits. i don't begrudge this woman for her purchase. at least she wasnt stocking up on chips and candy and other crap food. i hope she had a good thanksgiving. hell, for all you know, she could have a large family to feed who could make good use of that food. if she's on assistance, do you think she should just have to survive on ramen noodles and baloney sandwiches? because she gets food stamps, she can't eat well? instead of being pissed at her, be pissed at people who sell their food stamps to buy phone cards and drugs and alcohol and who have their hair done every week and nails done every week and drive escalades and other brand new vehicles. those are the ones you should be bitching about!!

I don't begrudge anyone a good meal or a treat once in a while. But I think I have a right to be pissed if she has a large family to feed and they're not working to contribute. I neglected to say that this woman was around age 50. For the amount of food purchased, she was obviously feeding a crowd and at her age, if she's in bad shape financially, then GROWN people should have been contributing to her menu and costs. She shouldn't have been having to use her foodstam,ps to purchase a huge Thanksgiving dinner. And I AM pissed at the ones who see their cards as a free payday for everything but food. But I'm also pissed at the ones who abuse the foodstamps program by feeding a crowd and eating better than I do. SOOOOOOO. I'm bitching at all of them and the government cause this is MY money that's being given away and I don't have any control over it.

This is what happens when people make assumptions. Its easy to draw conclusions from the outside looking in. Maybe the other ppl that came to her dinner all brought a covered dish. How do you know all this food was in preparation for one meal?? Never assume anything.

I'm not assuming and am not drawing conclusions.I heard her conversation with others around her. Whatever or whoever she was feeding with MY and my husbands' money did not and do not deserve to eat better than I do. I never buy steaks, oysters, and cheesecake like I saw her purchase. I CANNOT afford to. This must have been you I saw in line or you must be getting handouts yourself. I have NO pity for these people.

Nope, sorry, wasn't me you saw. I despise grocery shopping and anything that goes with it. Ex, lugging grocery bags in and putting things away. I only buy one or two meals at a time. And yes, FYI, I do get foodstamps, but I'm honest with my caseworker and I still qualify so I don't feel bad for getting them. I do have a job. Not everyone receiving assistance is a non working, system sucking bum, as everyone likes to think. I don't really care what this lady buys with her food stamps. That's her and her business. Its not up to everyone else to supply us with a menu for our meals. So if I choose to feed my family T-bones and shrimp every night, guess what? I will. I don't, but that's not the point I'm trying to make.

The menu thing is outrageous! Are you kidding ME? Ok, if you get to choose our menu then I'm gonna request more funds lol. That's just laughable. I really don't buy outlandish things. I don't use it as if its an endless supply of money. I have worked two jobs. Kinda hard to do with two small kids at home. And please don't say child care bc they can only be away from a parent for so long during the day. And as I stated already, I do have a frigging job. I also pay taxes! So now, what's your brilliant defense?

And why not eat better.....food is food......when you look at it they are not paying the person more to eat steak or less to eat ramon noodles......by eating steak she might not have enough food on the card to get to the end of the month......by eating ramon noodles there might be money left on the card at the end of the month.......it's her choice. The gov dictates a specified amount per month based on information provided by the client and verified by the case worker..........If your working two jobs to put food on your table then eat a few ramon noodles you'll have money left for other things........but then again eat steak and enjoy yourself and work the two jobs....its your choice..........

The hard part is how do we decide who may get these hand outs. The ones who have never worked or the ones who have worked and due to economic times have lost their jobs of 20 plus years & are over qualified for the jobs they have applied for or our seniors who worked and saved for retirement to have it taken away with the fall of world com, and te crash of wall street that has put them into this situation and are too old to get a job. There are also some who have worked most of their lives to have an illness take over them and they can not work. I do agree with you but who will we decide to help.

It is not the fault of the job market that crazy whores have a buch of children that they can't afford and to whom they have no fathers for. Maybe they should learn to keep their legs closed until they get a job. The job market did not tell them to spread their legs. You must be one of those that have a heap of children that you can't support. When I go to the hospital to have a baby I have to make monthly payments. When someone with three or four children go to the hospital they leave debt free. Does that sound like "the job market" to you. Better yet, someone with all of those children can go to college scott-free. Yet someone who kept a full-time job and did not have children before marriage and did not have children whom I could not afford has to pay to go to college. Does that sound like the "job market to you. You must be one of those low-life, deadbeat dads yourself. How about you get a job and support your own children so all of us taxpayers don;t have to.
all the children u r talking about have fathers, where r they, why you have to down women so bad, they sure didn't have them by theirselves. and for Sunday, don't be jealous of that family, at least they had a good thanksgiving, and might eat good for two weeks and starve for two, you don't know what their situation is or what they are going through.. and you say it your money? are they taking out of you and your husbands paycheck, then please be thankful you two have jobs, and pray for the ones who don't

see...this is just ridiculous. That's why our country is in the shape it is. Everybody who mooches off the government thinks they deserve it. No I am not the least bit jealous. Just mighty pissed. Yes have a job, three in fact. And my husband works too. And we r very thankful for them. I feel for the people who have lost theirs and need public assistance. They are not the ones im pissed off with.

I see it at work every day. I am only for those who really need it and are disabled or elderly. But for those who get them because they are lazy, I do not think they should. They eat better than I do. Everyone with an EBT card should have to get drug tested and could pick up trash off the side of the road or other type of city / county clean up to pay for their EBT cards.

Here you go again sticking your nose where it does not belong, you don;t know the situation of that family at wal-mart, you may know your co-workers, but you need to quit saying your money. Are you getting money taking out of your check or your husband's check to feed the poor? Then shut the hell up and be thankful you and your husband haves jobs, one sickness can wipe a family out savings, college funds, 401, you name it, I was very blessed to have a job, and my husband drove a 18 wheeler for 20 years, and then almost died because a hospital gave him bad blood in 1979, and he is only 52, well he is dissabled, can't ever work needs a liver transplant, now you both have a job, so why don't you quit your bitchin and be thankful, and thank God for what you do have, there are people that are not as fortunate as you are...... YOU HAVE A BLESSED DAY, AND REMEMBER GOD DOES NOT WANT US TO ENVY ANYONE..., be thankful that family had a GOOD THANKSGIVING, Some people didn't........I told you we will roll till the twelveth of NEVER......
