pitiful, what is this "definite maybe" stuff? why does it matter how well you know me. you challenged me to get started now i will do the same to you. ill take on #1 & #2. you have a great idea in #3 now put the rubber to the road and follow thru. the coc meets the 4th monday of each month at 4pm. you have almost a full month to work up the details. ill be looking for you on the agenda for june.

wild bear, i like your car show idea. be sure to call the coc and check to be sure there are not other events on the calendar that date. it was also mentioned at the last coc meeting about adding a car/bike show to next years bbq festival. lets keep things moving forward.

Thanks , We could put together a show for the bbq as well I beleave we're on a roll here now. If they do have other events going on that would be even better that would give us more exposure to the community. I have alreardy been sending out mass e-mails to everyone I know to boost this event.

Good idea - but think about area - down town was good for the car show -- why do you have to combine them? There is such a thing as overlill in a community this size.

Ole timer if you knew how busy I am you would forgive me the definite maybe.. I guarantee you I will be involved in anything that gets started for retired folks. I thought you sai9d the first two were already started or in the works. Plus I need to know you better to know I haven"t already made you real mad and you aren't laying an ambush as so many people do. Call it paranoia? But we will get something going for retirees when I get some of these irons out of the fire. Thanks for your interest and concern.

This right here is an example of why you need som ething in hazlehurst like a funcioning Chamber to have every function in Hazlehurst and Jeff Davis list with them/check with them so there wont be some many good things all happening at the same. This would also let workers and attendees not be stretched between so many events on the same week-end.

Pitiful,
the next event for the Arts & Entertainment Council is scheduled for Sept. 18Th so the car show will not effect that. As for the Friends of Town Bluff the only thing I can think of that would be coming up is possibly around Dec. but as soon as I know I will let everyone know. I am on both committees and also may join the Historical Society but I will have to see. The car / Bike show is something I enjoy as a hobby or had been involved with in the past and I would like to see it become a monthly event. We have to start somewhere and why not in Oct.

LOL! Hey buddy. Sorry for the delay. I have been working 12.5 hour shifts in Homerville on monday and tuesday, went to Augusta Wednesday for about the same hours then to Wrens and Thomson Georgia on Thursday... Today I was in Macon at a meeting until 3:30 and didn't get home till around 6:00. I've been getting up around 3:45 every morning since I started working with Pike electric.

Hats off to Regardless for picking up a little of my slack while I've been absent. I really appreciate that brother.

Anyway, I am all beat to $#!T and tired. I'm going to try to do a quick PC repair on my daughter's machine and then I will probably relax for a little bit tonight and start fresh tomorrow morning... EARLY tomorrow morning, of course.

It is good to know that I've been missed ...=)

Oct. is good - just didn't want conflict with Arts and entertainment.

I think Lumen keeps most of his cars in Dublin Nowadays. Jimbo Dunn usually has somthing interesting. Jack Cole has a model T and a T-Bird. Ronnie McCarty has some real nice old cars, as well as John Hill.

I have started the planning for the first anual car show sponsered by Eason Recycling and other local business's . This will be a very large event . So now I need and idea of where to hold this event must be on a main road with plenty of exposure and plenty of room for about 250+ cars as I plan to have several diffrent catagorys. Next ATT: Hacker , Regardless and Softie we need to create web site for promotional purpose. I will have three entrys ready by the time this all comes together not to be in the judging . Ok people lets get started to work.
I got your email! I will have a look at the website as soon as I get a chance. Hopefully tonight! Anything in particular that you want to do here? These free hosts are rather limited in capability but I might be able to put a redirector page to a folder on my server and trick this thing out. Once I do, and if this thing takes off, you will have the option to move it to a more permanent, paid hosting. I'll see what I can dig up tonight after the wife goes to bed.

Softie,

I am not sure if I am going to have the time now, I have decided to go out on my own and I am starting a new computer business of my own. I have a feeling that I am going to be super busy for a while getting this started... I will help anyway I can but I am not sure how much I am going to be able to do.. I just started it on monday and I have been swamped under with calls ever since..

Most of my calls are businesses and I don't think I am going to open a store front at this time. Although if some home users need service I will do a pick up and delivery service. I have a huge building behind my house that is not being used so I will be working out of it for the mean time. Trying to keep my overhead low..
