After meeting both candidates for county commissioner district one and hearing them speak last night, I pondered only one single question: "Does Jesse Perry have the intellectual capacities to run this county?" He has virtually no experience at budgeting a large sum of money, nor does he come across as politically savvy. On election day, I think I am going to have to go with Anderson.

Romey is honest and does not play favorites. He has worked tirelessly for several years to improve our county.

Agree completely with registered democrat...just because you know a lot of people and can put up lots of signs, doesn't actually mean you can improve the economy of graves county.

So let's see now...NOT knowing a lot of people and NOT putting up a lot of signs means you actually can improve the economy of graves county. Duh!

What better qualifications could a candidate have, than to be a lifelong resident of the county, to actually be acquainted with a vast number of the residents and have an understanding of their daily life in Graves County, and have a love for the county and it’s people.
Jesse Perry has these qualifications and anyone who has spoken with him knows his heart is to see Graves County and it’s residents move forward.
Jesse is ‘folk’ just like us. He runs his own business and lives his life quietly, honoring God and loving his family. Yet, he has chosen to serve those of us who live in this county and believe, like Jesse, that Graves County can be a better place. A place where good jobs are available to those who want one, a county that residents take pride in and prospective employers take notice of.
The commissioner’s job is one of vision, interaction, and passion…vision for the future, interaction with fellow commissioners and agencies, and a passion to see the people be everything they can possibly be.
Given a choice between a diploma on the wall and an ability to count money or a lifelong resident with a heart for the people, a love for the county, and a vision for the future, I’ll take the latter every time. I hope you will also. Vote Jesse Perry, Graves County Commissioner 1st District on November 2nd.

Vote todd hayden district 3 and jesse perry disrict 1.. Time for a change of pace in graves county.. These two are lifelong residents of this county and will do whatever they can to better this place for their young children and families for the future.. Not that Romey and Jabo didnt work hard over the years, but maybe got a little complacent the last couple of years in my opinion.. Its time for a change in Graves County.. New younger leaders.. Vote Perry and Hayden..

Truly, what real advantage is it for a candidate to be a "lifelong resident" of a county over one who choses to live in that county and serve the people?

The only "qualification" on the list I'm Going To created that separates the two is the lifelong resident "requirement."

I've had conversation with Jesse and he told me that even he didn't have the answers. If one wants to serve the people, he needs to have a LAN or at least give his answers so that we can decide to endorse him.

I guarantee if any voter sat down with Perry & Anderson, it would not take long to realize that the later is the absolute best choice for having vision, passion and answers for Graves County.

So voter, are you really saying that Bob has the answers, has shared them with you and that is why you are endorsing him?

Frankly, I'm leary of anyone who believes or says they have all the answers. That's delusional at best and arrogant at worst.

I just don't see it as a negative for a man to understand his limitations, because a man who knows his limits will also know his strengths. I'm not naive enough (nor do I think the voters of Graves County are) to believe that Jesse has all the answers...or Bob for that matter.

On a sidenote,IF Bob DOES have all the answers, he'd be wasting his time as commissioner. We need him in Washington.
