I've seen over the years that too many adults are wanting to be their kids best friend & the cool parents. Kids don't need more friends they need a parent that guides them, that have rules and consequences to breaking the rules. A role model . Kids mirror what they live in and it can become a vicious cycle . Bottom line is parents need to be more concerned with being a parent than being cool , it's just not very becoming and I've seen the results it brings & they are not very good results . Jus sayin
This is so very true. You wrote this perfect!! Parents are more worried about their kid being in the cool crowd and not leading them down the right path for respectful adults! They're are some really wilds teenagers and I seen it with my own eyes while in Panama! It's not bc of pcb they would of done it anywhere!! Parents that encourage this.....shame on you! Parents who don't see it......pay closer attention! God gave us our children to guide and do our best!!! Some parents want ever understand this! It's a shame!

yes, underage drinking is everywhere. however it is extremely prevelent in pcb during spring break. i have friends who faithfully go year after year with their children. they have had to keep little ones off the balcony so they didnt see vulgar things going on. why?! there are numerous beaches and beautiful places to go besides pcb!! i have taken my children to orange beach AL, destin FL, ft walton beach FL, dauphin island AL, just to name a few that are about the same distance. all of these places are leaps and bounds better then pcb. while im sure there are things going on there too it isnt something you would see out in the open and you wouldnt have to shelter children from seeing anything. plain and simple pcb is trashy and gross! and quite frankly the families that go there and take teens to see all that are trash too!

WOW people who go to PCB should know what to expect don't think everyone should confirm to what they like. If they feel that they have to hide their children's eyes then why don't they go to orange beach. And aren't you playing God and being judge by saying anyone who goes to PCB are trashy. Your a bitch. There now that makes about as much since for me to say to you as you saying people who vacation in PCB are trashy especially after you just said your friend goes faithfully and takes small children. Why don't you shut your pie hole.

very proud of you for teaching your daughter right! It is so hard as a parent to know what is right. I do not allow my kids to drink, it is against our family rules. PERIOD. We try to lead by example. When they get older and have children of their own it will be up to them to make those decisions for themselves.

When we travelled to beach with 2 other couples & our kids. Our wives would tell us of the "Hubbard Hubba's & whistles" they received on Beach, bars, restaurants shopping etc.
To a man we said "well that must have made you feel good" We saw the attention as a compliment, no need for jealousy. And the sex was awesome.
You only have hang ups if you have a deeper problems.

All people that go to Panama City are not trashy. Yes, there are things that go on there but that does not mean you have to be a part of it or agree with it. My child likes to go because our friends are there. Our friends and their families are not trashy either. Teach your child right and be a good example and they will demonstrate it. I saw kids having fun and making a decision not to drink. Parental supervision goes a long way.

She didn't say panama or the people were trashy! It seemed like she was just saying the underaged drinking was really bad and that the parents helped contribute to replenish the drinking. You can see by the post who went and drank and the ones that went for family and then those who put most of theses threads down because that is what they done or would of done if they did or didn't go! There were lots of teenagers who didn't drink and I think that is wonderful!!!!! Show's how mature they really are!!!!!! When they turn 21 and choose to drink at least they will be of age! Not 15-18 high schoolers on spring break!!!!

Tina Marie was one of the wonderful adults down there with a bunch of teenagers and was allowing them to drink, get high but I guess because an adult was present it makes the situation better...right? Or how about the kid Tristin who was drunk and high and got arrested but again an adult was there so I guess that's ok too. Too many parents like to make up excuses but in the end its poor parenting!

Panama is a great beach to go to during the summer as a family. But if you have young children, middle school and elementary aged, I would not advise on going during any spring break months. Besides the beaches being littered with beer cans and drunken people, the traffic is horrendous. I went in college and it took me an hour to get to Walmart which was literally 2 miles from my condo I should have just walked. There are just things that as parents we should try to censor our children from until they reach a certain age. I don't believe that you should have to try to explain to a 7 year old why some girl is puking her guts out topless on a beach.
