As a parent it worries me how many parents let their Highschool teenagers go off and drink during spring break nonstop all week. Weed was also smoked all week! What puts the icing on the cake the parents tend to forget they're the adults and they get drunk with them. Seen this many times this last week! They flirt with the teenagers....it is gross!! They are so drunk they want remember it until the morning...no I didnt do that. Then to say oh geez I did! I stood in amazed watching because it was everywhere. Beaches, side walks, stores, restaurants, and the parking lot!!! The parents in MKY wouldn't be happy if they could see their precious daughter/son act like that!!!
*****I assure you each of these parents are the ones that go to church regularly. I bet they will be repenting on the front row at church tomorrow
and all will be fine. Not Fine.... You helped some teenagers to get drunk and that is against the LAW! I am glad I stuck to my rules and wouldn't let my daughter party. She was upset but I told her she would thank me and after two nights she did!!! To see how girls dress and drink is very scary. Then you wonder why all ages of men look! They say what happens in Panama stays in Panama... Well, a lot of us Mother's were there and you can believe we are bring it back to Murray. That is something hard to get over!!

live your own life, rather than telling others how to live theirs.

If you raised your daughter right, and wether she drinks or not, you should trust her to go hangout with her friends. All you're going to do is make her sneak around and hide stuff... she will go wild once she's out of the house.

Reminds me of when I was in high school and got drunk at my friend's house every weekend with some friends of mine. It was awesome. What are we talking about again?

I am not telling anyone how to live ones life. Several mothers and I took our daughters and some friends to Florida. I assure you my daughter is NO angel. My daughter and the other girls did go out and they did go to some of the parties. However, we did set some rules and underage drinking was one them. They all decided after a couple of nights of just going to the parties it wasn't for them. When you see teenagers passed out on the beach, puking off the balcony, and getting arrested for public intoxication it is really sad! Then you see some parents doing the same thing it is disturbing!!! Some do it just because they're in pcb, others do it all the time which isn't anyhing new! There were plenty of teenagers who didn't drink and still had fun. I am assuming you're not a parent?! Because I can't imagine any parent of a 15-18 year old would encourage this. I have always had an open policy with both my daughters....if they wanted to drink then they were told to come home to me! That didn't mean I let them get drunk or gave to their friends! It's a law.....21 is the age to be able to drink! Too many dui's and people being killed is my biggest worry!! The last thing I want to say is my oldest daughter is in college out of state and she didn't go crazy wild when she moved out!!! If you have to drink maybe do it in moderation but what was going on in pcb was drink to you pass out! I am sorry we don't agree but that's what great about Freedom of Speech! We don't have to!!!!

Find somewhere classier than trashy Panama City beach for your family vacations. Underage drinking is everywhere but PCB is full of it and trashy!

The way I see it we have all done things that we might should not have done. That's ALL of us. And unless you are without sin who are you to judge. Last I checked there was one without sin and His name isn't Ivy. I agree with the others if you are offended by anything that went on your best off to not go to the party town of America on Spring Break. Unless you were trying to tempt your kids. Let him without sin cast the next stone.

After reading all the post I feel like she was just worried/shocked about what goes on there. They are under age and it's a law they can't drink. I guess if you are there everybody looks over the no drinking under 21! Since someone brought up religion.....She never said she didn't sin....I want to ask this....because some of you act like it is fine for them to go and drink! Would Jesus be approving of that? No way would he be!!! All she did say is what went on there and if we were also being honest we would know she is telling the truth! It is her vacation and she can go where she wants. It isn't her fault they are breaking the laws! If I am on duty and it happens here they would go to jail because it is the law! But several go there and act different. When it's over they aren't as wild here because if caught they will go to jail along with who bought for the underage drinker. This is something to think about!!

I've seen over the years that too many adults are wanting to be their kids best friend & the cool parents. Kids don't need more friends they need a parent that guides them, that have rules and consequences to breaking the rules. A role model . Kids mirror what they live in and it can become a vicious cycle . Bottom line is parents need to be more concerned with being a parent than being cool , it's just not very becoming and I've seen the results it brings & they are not very good results . Jus sayin
