Car repair charity looking for help

It's definitely been a blessing to the community. Vancouver, Wash. The CARpenter's Garage, a charitable ministry that helps people with their car repairs, is turning to the community for help so it can buy the building it uses. via The Vancouver Columbian

which I definitely need and appreciate. It needs some repairs but I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income of $610.00 a month. I would love to find a free car repair shop in the Washington, D.C. Metro area because the car needs to be towed. I

Patty and LaVerne - why don't you print out the article about CARpenter's Garage and take it to your respective churches and suggest they look into starting the same type of service in their communities? That may start a trend nationwide, you never know. Good luck.

i am a married but seperated pregnant mother of two. i am disabled and on a fixed income and cannot afford to pay outright for a new engine for my suv. i live in the central delaware area and there are no businesses that would even consider donating time or resources to fix my vehicle for me. both of my children are very sickly and are in need of reliable transportation to get back and forth to docters appoinments. if any one can help i would be very grateful. anyone that is willing to help can contact me at ... i am a 20 yr old in fort walton beach florida on a small income. I have rhumatoid arthriis and the meds for it are very costly(2700.00 amonth and i have no insurence). i was given a car but it needs some repair work of about 1,500.00. My parents cant afford to help. My name is SPC Christopher Graves. I am in desperate need of help. I just got back from iraq i am married with a 3 year old little girl named Destiny. All the money i made while i was over in iraq was spent toward bills and well now my car needs a new engine. I dont like asking for help but i dont have a choice. My daughter will be 3 in june and i have to move next month because the army says its time for me to move so now im stuck. I am in desperate need of help. I dont know how i am going to be able to come up with the money to move on and i dont know how im going to come up with the money to fix my car. A new engine will cost be about 2000 or more for my car and the army will repay me for the cost of moving but i need the money upfront. I need to get my car fixed asap is there any way that you could help me out. If needed you guys could loan me the money and i could pay it back to you guys. I have tried getting loans from banks but i have bad credit because i wasnt smart with my money when i was younger and i have been trying very hard to repair it but it seems like no mater how hard i try it doesnt seem like its getting any better. So you guys are my last chance please help me out.

I heard you only have to pay for the parts and the labor is free, but have had no luck finding one, if anyone has any info I would appreciate it very much,, trying to restore a 72 Caddy but the labor is too much for me.. tks
