it looks like some thievery is going on here, everyone on the aldsberry ticket won except aldsberry who is down 23 votes right now, i find that amazing because the aldsberry ticket was on the bottom for trustees and still came out on top, that doesnt happen unless the voter searched for those names. and for donaldson to garner a lot of votes out of dynsasty lakes and for fantroy not to win over there where he lives is totally wrong, we also had cases of double voting in dynsasty lakes so we now have to do a recount, and i think we will find at least 24 votes to get this crazy mayor out and return to a better way of life

It looks as Al Capone has been resurrected here in Hazel Crest. But he goes by the name of Don Donaldson. I thought the tactics of intimidation, bribery, and collusion were things left for the crime boss, but yet we have it right here in Hazel Crest. All of those who voted for Don Donaldson will eventually see the truth. And all those that live in Hazel Crest will be affected by it.

"... HERE IN HAZEL CREST." Since when is Westchester Illinois Hazel Crest? As I said before, those who seem most invested in the outcome of our election don't even live here! And as I also said before, it's very sad that the Concerned Citizens Party chose to look outside of Hazel Crest for support to win an election.

The affects of the election are already showing up. The low morale in the Village Hall and throughout the Village itself is palpable. It seems that the CCP was eager to tear down what Mayor Donaldson had tried to build up, but have nothing to put in its place. In fact their entire campaign was built on nothing but payback and retribution, and now that they're in, they have nothing constructive or positive to contribute to our community. But why should those on the outside care? They just wanted to see the Mayor brought down, and they could care less about how the residents and the village are affected.

BTW, it's Mayor ROBERT Donaldson! But why would I expect someone who lives in Westchester to know this?

first off its village president donaldson. second , the reason for the low morale you speak of is that the concerned party got rid of the money sucking positions that donaldson created upon election that were nonexistent or not needed in this town. donaldsons so called win was by 17 votes and all his trustees lost, so this town must have seen that we needed real change. he now has to watch how real gov should work. this is not a tyranny, you cant bully people without the votes,so now he has to sit back and take it.donaldson had his chance and now the people have rejected him,(probably why he lost all his other elections) sit back and bang the gavel but accept real change

First of all, just as Bill Browne chose to call himself Mayor, so too has Mayor Robert Donaldson. The legality of this title was cleared up by the Village attorney at the first village board meeting with the newly-elected trustees. Secondly, out of 15,000 residents, 2269 people voted. The mayor's trustees lost by less than 300 votes. These numbers indicate a lot of things that we need to be concerned about, but overriding rejection of the mayor is not one of them! Since the election, many of the residents who either voted for the Concerned Citizens Party or who did not vote at all are already expressing voter's remorse. They realize too late that the CCP was interested only in gaining power and payback, but have nothing to offer of their own merit to the village. Perhaps this is what was needed to shake the residents up and get them more involved in the community, and that is exactly what is happening now. We cannot change the election results, but for the next two years, these trustees will be exposed for their lack of experience and preparedness for these positions and for their politically vindictive agenda. This is far from over!!!

Oh! The low morale that I mentioned is within the Village Hall itself as well as in the community. Those who work for the Village, from the front desk to the Public Works Department, realize that in losing three valuable workers, we've lost a valuable asset to the Village, all for the sake of politics!

out of the 2269 residents that voted, your mayor won by 23 votes, you dont want to point out the obvious.we dont want donaldson, thats why he always lost elections. any self respecting mayor whose whole ticket lost and he only so called won by 23 votes would resign because he sees that this is a total rebuke of his governing prowess, but i digress, sit there, complain, bang the gravel, veto and bark out unlawful orders in open meetings,NO MATTER!!you have no power. your veto will be overcome in the next meeting, and yu cant keep trying to scare senior by telling us that we are going to lose the bus and programs.STOP LYING!! as for low morale, maybe some of those village employees should live in this village, that there morale may go up. and stop lying to yourself calling those high priced non needed people valuable workers. they are donaldson political favors that were taking up too much of our money for jobs that did not exist before his election. STOP LYING!!!! the trustees lost because they followed him and he only got by on the skin on his teeth and now he cant take it. ITS OVER sit back and watch how a real transparant gov works. and in two years we will see absent ass mcghee a retarded bashir sit in the audience next.

Your characterization of our Village trustees as "absent as mcghee" and "retarded bashir" reveals a bit more about you than it does about them, and what it reveals is not very complimentary.

I have been attending the meetings and watching the show, "the real transparent government,"and it truly is transparent! What is clearly shown to the residents is how unprepared and unqualified some of the new board members are, and the growing concern among the residents about the welfare of our community.

The trustees who lost because of the mayor are no worse than the new trustees who look to Susan and Vernard to guide them in saying NO to everything the mayor or the residents attempt to initiate. Apparently, they are no more independent in their thinking than the trustees they replace, and I can therefore assume that they will soon experience the same fate.

And please stop calling me a liar. I never said that the jobs existed before Donaldson became mayor, and I've never tried to scare the seniors about their bus or their programs. I AM NOT MAYOR DONALDSON!

For the LAST time, topix.net (this site) lists the location of your ISP, which often does NOT correspond to where you are physically sitting! If you cannot grasp that concept, then you show as Harvey, IL. Is that where YOU are? It really isn't that complicated.
