Don't know why it took so long. So many people knew it but said and did nothing. SHAME ON THOSE WHO KNEW AND DID NOTHING at the expense of the seniors at the Dorchester Senior Center and our TAX dollars!

How many people did they say were living at the Dorchester and not paying any money? Was that nine or ten? Now they pulled it off the local access channel, and I want to know WHO is staying there rent-free on my dime? Nine or ten, obviously not many seniors. Where was the management company in all this mess? WHO, WHO, Who are they? Who's staying there free? Most of the seniors there have to give their whole social security check to lay their head down. That's all most of them have to their name for a room and board. Three meals a day, and maybe more, for young, able-bodied freeloaderes all at OUR expense! Who are these people with the "you owe me" mentality? Get out, and get out now. On the way out the door they should all be made to pay up - full fare - no get out of jail free card.

don't the trustees of the village get the information on the dorchester when they get the bi-weekly bills? don't they know who is working there? every meeting they pay the bills. they pay the regular bills for the village, and they pay the dorchester bills separately every meeting. why are they allowing this theft, fraud, and ghost-payrolling to keep happening? they all must be on the take. and then they turn around and say that the village people are working at the dorchester. the dorchester was promised to make and pay its own way when they set that up. instead of paying its own way it looks like it has become a convenient home for thieves, crooks, miscreants, and thugs, while all at the risk to our seniors, and at the expense of the good tax paying people of dolton. why hasn't the inspector general found out about any corruption at the dorchester? oh, maybe it's because it's his nephew and his friends perpetrating the fraud. he hasn't found any fraud, yet, what makes anyone think he can be an inspector general, or a county assessor? is the village still paying him to be an absentee inspector general while he is running to be county assessor? there's a huge waste. his car is out front of the dorchester most days of the week, not finding any fraud, when it isn't out in front of his campaign office, or mr ricky's, or the eldorado.

It is a shame that the village of Dolton residents have to find out that there is TROUBLE here!! Hopefully, when we gather at the Monday night meeting Mayor Lewis will tell us (the residents), what will be done to rectify this.

You can go to these meetings, but will they let the citizens speak up about the goings on at the Dorchester? Does anyone know if Victor Shaw stepped down on 12/31/09? Why did channel 4 take the last board meeting off of the television? Is this listed at all on the village of Dolton website? Hopefully Mayor Lewis will let the residents to ask questions this time. The last meeting as everyone knows Trustee Green, was very ignorant to the fact that she and Trustees Lowe and Harris did not know when to shut the hell up!! MAYBE they will go the way of Victor Shaw and leave! But I do believe they are involved also, because they keep asking when is the management company this and the management company that. Maybe they're hoping we will forget about the last meeting come Monday. Think Green, Harris, or Lowe will even show up? Green pretends she is so innocent, but she was the zoning chair under Shaw, while he was shacking up with her. She cares so much about Dolton that she wants to put the current bad management company back into the Dorchester. Do you remember that the inspector general gave her a tax break while he was still a commissioner with the Tax Board of Review? Remember that? How many dollars did it cost us in Dolton to have a patrol car with a policeman setting in it sit outside her house for all the time the former Mayor was in office? Green, Lowe, and Harris need to quit! Village website still doesn't work. Have Victor and all these squatters moved out? How much more don't we know? Happy New Year Dolton! Hey you last 4 IDIOTS, if The 3 Trustees hadn't brought this to the forefront NO ONE would have known the RUMORS were true. Thank you Trustees. Since you are such a fan of the Mayor's why hasn't he prosecuted somebody. Then the new auditor who alleged this stuff wants to run the place, but the Mayor admits he don't know much about them either. Why did the Mayor wait a year to make a move, this is old news to many of us. For a man sitting there since the 90's come on. Mayor Lewis voted for those people and placed Trustee Green on the Board after Mayor Shaw passed. He says they got more information than they ever had, don't speak to well for him as a Trustee, admiting he voted with no information. LOL. Yes it was a bad seen but it is done everywhere that a Mayor thinks he is in charge by himself. Did any of you vote this April, Trustee Green and Harris got more votes than the Mayor did, ha ha. No more rubber stamps, if you want my vote tell me whats up. Also why did the Mayor run and put this on cable the NEXT day. Never in the history of Dolton has this happened that quickly. Mayor Lewis is no Shaw and he should not act like it. That lady who spoke out was out of order and told so, badly but it was not her turn to speak. Trustee Jefferson was MUTE, why? He always says address the Chair. Yeah he was in on it too. The Mayor never said those 10 squatters are gone, never addressed the money missing and what has been done about it, and to pay a place $100,000 plus 25% of what additional revenue, can be very good for the new people. I think the Mayor and Trustees all have issues and need to work on communications you got to talk. Close the Dorchester, save the senors much more disservice, because they deserve much better than they have been getting lately. Is this the way you would want your mother or your father treated? These Trustees need to get out of office. Don't have a clue how to run a town. The Mayor needs to get off the bar stool at Mr.Rickys and get a back bone. He needs to take care of running a small town like Dolton. Oh no, he can't, he's attached to Robert Shaw's hip, who's calling all his shots. If there is no management company, who is working there that is competent to give safe and appropriate care to our seniors? Maybe everybody should organize something under the freedom of information act. And, maybe I'm naive, but is there ever an instance where the public gets a chance to debate issues before the board rubber stamps things like deciding to turn over the property to an unknow management company? What is happening here in Dolton other than the Dolton Women had a gatherng at the Dorchester inviting Todd Stroger? Then as I watched this on ABC/7 there was the late Mayor Shaw's brother standing at the podium--investigate him and the others--rid Dolton of them. The adasity of these people to think that Dolton still wants them in office!! I do believe that ALL the trustees need to leave the office! We have alot of educated people here in Dolton, residents,that could help us out...Time and time again we here at the village meetings that Mayor Lewis was an educator in the Chicago school system--okay, well then Mayor we need to use your education to take care of these useless people. Victor Shaw stole all this money, from the Dorchester and the Melanie, this disgusts me. Let him make some more money before he is sent away and ask him to SNITCH on EVERYONE that is involved. This is 2010 and we need to change here in Dolton! If the people of Dolton are treated when they come to the village for anything with respect--then maybe we "the residents" will treat the village officials with respect--until the village is cleaned up, stores brought into the downtown area, streets cleaned up, the youth help with projects--THEN I WILL RESPECT DOLTON AGAIN.
