Boy, there is a bunch of sick sob's out there that spend all of there time praying for good peoples jobs to dissappear, and for people to lose what they have. Boy O Boy... Better think of themselves for a change. Stop hoping for bad thinks to happen to good people!!!!! By the way, nobody cares if we have a mild winter, I hope so too. Coal WILL still move!!! I'm not hoping your check don't come on time. I'm not hoping goverment will stop allowing you to buy "pop" with your foodstamps. I'm not hoping anything that would be life changing for you!!!!! Yes, they may be "Big" layoffs coming soon. But to who and what is the Question!!!!! Remember W/W {work for welfare!!!!!!!!!!

Most people look for another job, if they lose theirs, instead of sitting around and complaining about it.

I lost my job with Teco Jan 13 and my families life so much.I looked for work and there was no jobs in the area. The job fair had a represenitive from Hitachi in Berea so I took it and moved.I will forever be a Coal Miner, and I pray that those who still are working are never laid off ever!God Bless the miners and the companies that have kept them. These men and women are the back bone of Eastern Ky and I pray that they always have work.

Yeah people who have never been underground or seen what it takes to provide that coal for electricity. They sure sit in those warm houses and run those jaws. This coal miner has done his research. With all the nuclear plants, wind turbines, and hydro plants, and natural gas. That still leaves 46 percent of energy per fiscal year to coal.Thats right "COAL"!The closest nuclear plant is in Mineral Va.And I know that because I worked there. That plant can,t even supply the needed power for Richmond and Fredricksburg! Then you have the coal burning plants shutting down.Thats 58 to 70 percent of Ky,s power supply! That is until the natural gas company rapes us even more on there price hikes.I have nothing against any form of energy.I just wish people would leave my fellow miners who are working hard.Alone!
