Jabo still owns this. He changed the name because he never liked it in the first place. Trust me on this. He will not sale. In fact, he is talking about expanding and making chains across Kentucky. Let people say what they want, Jabo is a good man. The restaurant management needs help but, considering in this area that 90% of people are pill addicts, they do the best they can with what they have to work with. I like the fact that he won't have someone working for him that is like that.

Well, here's what I know. The name was changed from Jabos'. They were open as of this past Friday. They've added an awesome pizza oven. I think they were changing the menu.

Does it really matter who owns it as long as the food and service are acceptable? Both of which were acceptable when I was there a couple of weeks ago.

For someone that opened his pilot store in Hazard it sounds like he's got more money than he's got sense.

If it is under new management I might eat there. Last time I ate there I found it difficult to relax and enjoy my food because some maniac was screaming and berating his employee in front of everyone. I would hate to work under whoever that man was.

Everytime I have ate there it is horrible. The food is average at best and the wait staff is horrible. I hope it is under new management, maybe they can do better. If not then it needs to close! It is the worst place to eat in Hazard. If they change it I might go there again, otherwise I will not be letting them rip me off again!

i ate there sunday. pizza was great. menu has change:. jabos mistake was he tried to offer more than coyld be prepared rapidly and most of it wasnt very good.. streamlined menu lookss more doable to me, but, im no judge. Jabo clemmons is a great guy. he wants a nice place fpr us folks to eat like other places has. it is a rael nice place. give him another chance or two. at least he isnt like most wealthy, take their money and run to lexington. he spent it here for us. i commend him

We ate at The Coal River Grill Saturday night. I was very pleased with the look of the new menu. I think it will be much better. I had pizza and it was great! I even reheated it at home in my oven the next day and it was still great. Hopefully this will be the change needed to improve business and keep a nice place in town.

I don't know, there is something about the name...COAL FIELDS GRILL that makes me think of old fashioned hamburgers and fries the delicious way they used to be....so I am going to try it out first chance I get.

I apologize for the shambles my restaurant is in. It is all Louie Hoskins's fault for stealing my beer and women every night of the week. I wish he would go to Applebee's or something.

Nobody knows how hard the restaurant business is, until they try it for themselves. Many people lose their life's savings trying to make a go of it. It's not for everyone...

Poor food and poor service. I am surprised its still a place.

I remembered when it opened, people that worked at Applebee's said they had rats were they're next to UGO. Hard to believe they viewed them as a threat.

And why do you think UGO has rats? Dumbass.

I believe you were not able to comprehend what I said. I said it was a rumor waitresses at Applebee's had started when Jabo's opened.
