WHy should the county listen to this group of political good ol' boys especially when two have been mentioned in the vote buying in two elections? Information was given to investigators on two of Denny Rays buddies that he has appointed!! So the citizens are supposed to listen to them on the Sheriff?? What is the ethics (big joke) committee say on Haven Kings missing money? The multiple cases of nepotism in the rest of the county organized criminal family? What about the interesting relationship between Denny Ray and certain KSP officers? What about the county judges neighbor that is a rapist from Florida Department of corrections number 120204 that has been allowed to slide on registering as a sex offender due to his family vote, and living in the county judges hood??

Sadly it would be a hard to find an Honest Politician in Southeastern Kentucky. The words Honest and Politician do not fit together in the Perry - Knott County areas. I've never lived in the other surrounding Counties, but I would say that any of the Southeastern Counties, all share the problem with Political Corruption and Nepotism.

Knott County is a Very Good example of Corruption. The corruption in that County is wide open and in plain view. The County has a Convicted Felon running it. He filed an Appeal, and has been allowed to continue running a County that is now in serious financial trouble. That man should be in jail. Just like any Politician who is Corrupt.

Perry County needs to be thoroughly reviewed as well. The People have the Power to ask for investigations. Remember that these people are Elected Officials. If they are Corrupt they need to be brought before the Proper Officials, and made to answer to those charges. The Elected Officials are in their positions, because the people voted for them. Wake Up People and hold these Elected Officials accountable for their actions. The voting Citizens deserve honest answers and honest leadership.

We do surprise, televised drug testing for all of our local authorities whether they be unite, judges, or whoever and see how many will deny that test. You know they consider it a positive drug screen if you deny them the test so shouldn't we the people, that voters, be capable of conducting the same test and having live coverage on totally surprised drug screens on these people?? I think so. I would imagine like all the hillbilly gambling casinos around hazard are notified before a raid, the local authorities would be also alerted. It's a dirty shame and our founding fathers would be disgraced by politics and leaders in this county, state, and hell, even our wonderful country has gone to the dogs.

Does the local ethics laws abide by the state, and federal laws? Local county laws can't be up held if they are in conflict with high state, or federal laws.

Petty issues like the recount of the last election by sore losers should be funded by those who cry foul in the first place. Especially when they themselves are guilty of their own 'ethics' violations. There was never any valid question regarding faulty voting machines, just another example of the losers jumping on the national bandwagon of alleged voter fraud.

You want ethics standards investigated? Let's toss in self-proclaimed 'preachers' who demand admission to their 'worship sevices' at $30 a family, yet are a never-ending source of distasteful jokes at their real job 5 days a week.

When your morally corrupt ego drives you to be famous in your own mind, consider that it will only fool the mentally unstable looking to belong to anything. Even when it's false.

Can you feel your blood pressure rising yet? I see you've just spent a fortune on your glass house. Be careful picking up them stones...preacherman. You're swinging pretty low in them balance scales.

LOL corruption is not a petty issue. When you have so much money spent to buy an election, and so much money missing from every local office county as well as city!!!!! Something should be done even if it has to be taken to the door of Mitch McConnell, and Hal Rogers!!!!!!!!!!

were you born last night? the united states was built on corruption. perry county corruption IS a petty issue outside of perry county. you state that every county has it? maybe so - but who cares what happens in this dead-end town so long as we keep shoveling coal? the world doesn't care that we're ruining the environment for everyone downstream - why would they care who gets to sit in some run-down office downtown in shit city?

there was nothing wrong with the voting machines. we elected who we wanted by a majoral landslide, so put your big boy pajamas on and deal with it.
