No one will starve the obama folks have asked for more money for food stamps, and other benefits as we transition away from dirty coal and get training started at place like HCC for good jobs, safe jobs, cleaner jobs, like wind mill oilers, electronics will be a area that a electrician in the mines could carry over to the new wind mills coming to start fire site.
Construction jobs will be created, "people of coal mining our past future"
I bet even Haven King has a hard hat set aside that says "WIND MILLS OUR FUTURE"
The cleaner days of future will be for children as we get over the coal thing.
please support MR.OBAMA one more term and he can finish this project.
Would anyone on here be able to help start a Obama support group here in perry county.

I am sorry for the lost coal jobs, and i really don't see a miner who was drilling a hole for a roof bolt drilling a tooth for a filling, but he might drill a hole for a wind mill base.

There is a chance we could take with Mr.Obama's support the old trus joist factory and build something maybe a small electic car or even a electric motorcycle.

We need to stop coal mining now and start "WIND MILLS OUR FUTURE

People we must all come to gather to save the hills and mountains from being destroy these resources will be what people from far away will come and see, trail riding on motorcycles, 4 wheelers, horses and mountain bikes.

we can have shops to generate new income for those brave enough to transition over from coal.

Hang in there together we will win jobs back but we need everyone to vote for Mr.Obama to win and his win will bring hopes and dreams back to the hills

I understand how scared you are about what appears to be the only mass jobs available but its the final inning read jobs are going going and well you know the rest.

the day will come that we all have better health no more coal dust made by the big companys that live far away from the coal dust'

We can make car parts, we can make furniture, we can make some involing nanotechknowledge, we can get with the program and go looking for jobs, jobs, jobs.

we will get away from coal we have to the old coal power plants are getting torn down and scraped out or converted to natural gas which is cleaner and available everywhere now.

Hey teco boys laid off or who got done wrong !!!!! Do not call the number for Tampa that us in your hand book it will ring at Paul mattney's desk and you will get nothing get on the Internet and go to teco energys site there you will find the code of ethics ther are 3 ways to report unethical doings. All calls, complaints filed in Internet are 100% confidential and your boss will not be able to fire you for reporting this because if the mess with you at all they will be fired. The people in perry county office and Corbin office did a whole lot of things that is clearly against the code of ethics.

You can also go online at teco energy and fill out a online form all calls and reports are confidential and will stay in Tampa no names are shared with Corbin perry county or premier and if there is any retaliation it will be dealt with. Teco energy will not Tolerate any harassment of employees by management .

<quoted text> my husband is a superintendent at teco and has been for years. He's in charge of couple different mines, and there are no lay offs at teco, nor any plans for one.they lost a very small contract and just so they DON'T have to do any layoffs, they cut out working Saturdays, which tickled the men to death. They were working EVERY Saturday.and the contract was small enough that cutting out Saturdays will take care of the loss. And just for the ones who'll get so much joy out of thinking someone might lose their job, the contract they lost was due to financial probs within the company that held the contract. Nothing to do with teco. They still have enough coal contracts to keep running coal for years. Believe it, cause it came from the top.

The coal is depleted, can't you read...you greedy sheep allowed them to bring a shovel as big as the moon in and take it all away...traded a good paying job with protection and security for a fantastic paying job with no protection and never thought about who and what you were leaving in the rear view mirror. Anyone worker who can support mountain top removal deserves what is going to happen to them...UNEMPLOYMENT,TOXIC STREAMS,SLIDES AND THE WRATH of GOD. Too late for you, you should have taken a page from the old timers' notebook and stood together , shoulder to shoulder, and refused to work for the devil.
