I know that a lot of people are going to assume this as rumors. But I can completely assure you that it is not. I was part of a meeting that took place and this was discussed. They said that due to client complaints the Chavies site would shut down sometime in Febuary of 2012 unless another client could be attained to replace at&t.

It is an absolute guarantee the at&t side is closing. If it closes this year it will be in October when business taxes are due. Employee's should be notified in late June/Early July.

Exactly. The Chavies site IS the top call center for BOA. This is a fact and anyone who says differently DOES NOT know what they are talking about. The Chavies location has earned top call center because of their diligence in reaching out to the customer and handling their needs accurately and efficiently. I love to see people that enjoy and take pride in their job!

But one thing, when you say Chavies sets the standards for BOA, where are you getting your info? Every report I have ever seen, Chavies/Sumter are on the BOTTOM, consistantly. The only metric Sykes is meeting and has been meeting is AHT which a trained monkey could hit. You will always see this big push for CEWS, Shrink,and ICR every month, because Sykes wasnt setting the standard, they were struggling to hang on. Trust me, they are getting desperate, when you start coming up with srcipted opening/closings and then be dumb enough to tell the worker "the rest you can personalize" seems they just want to control you and turn you into a robot, and boy do I love calling n to a call center and getting to listen to a script when I know there is no way in hell, someone that has a brain would actually say that stupid shit. I am all for the success, but after a long time of seeing things go down, you can see the desperation and the urgency now more than ever. There has always been metrics and goals, not saying that, just saying that if you pay attention you can see them squirm like rats on a sinking ship. But anyway, you guys have fun with you buckets, thje water only gets deeper from here.

Wow, now this is a case of dumb a$$ at its finest. I can tell you right now that Perry is never ranking lowest in stats and to compare our center to Sumter is ridiculous. I can tell you work there or recently worked there because of your "agent" interpretation of the metrics chart. We push really hard at the end of the month to meet the contractual stats. All stats are important but some more so than others because the bank pays us based upon certain compliance to those contractual stats. To say a Monkey can meet AHT is moronic because itís not that easy. Factor in system issues, internal & external transfer issues, new hire & intermediate agent experience factors, lack of confidence by some, and wait time for some departments to answer... factor all that in and to still meet those goals is amazing. With monitoring at an all-time high due to QA improvements and Linda & Sam being simply awesome, we know agents are not shortcutting calls. Of course we live in the real world & we know some people do shortcut but that is going to happen anywhere, anytime, or any place where a company has this many employees. This thread is ridiculous. I am in on every single meeting held in that conference room and many private sit inís with Quigley and his successor as well as Hobby and others from Sykes. I have never heard of any bull$hit like this. Our relationship with the Bank is stellar and will remain that way. AT&T, also among some of the best in the AT&T class & only improving daily; they're tightening the belt to slow some of the over relaxed environment but I saw that coming during a few meeting months ago. SYKES EMPLOYEES, RELAX, YOUR JOBS ARE S-A-F-E, IF THEY WERE I WOULD NOT THROW MY FRIENDS NOR MY CO-WORKERS TO THE WOLVES, I WOULD TELL YOU IF THINGS WERE NOT RIGHT.

Are you serious LOL, come on? The AT&T Client is 1/3 the revenue and associate IMP index of BOA and you actually think Sykes would close Perry because of client AT&T complaints? Perry is the reason why Sykes is successful, without Perry the overall revenue of Sykes Corporation would be 1/8th of what it is right now. You really need to get a life and stop pretending you are someone important. So, letís see, since you feel AT&T controls the destiny of Sykes I assume you are an agent on the AT&T side and not a very good one at that because the story you're telling was on the smoke dock and I know for a fact who started it, she simply stated she just wanted attention and this is how she got it. Cheap shot there my friend and how dare you bring unneeded worry and stress to your coworkers, what did any of them ever do to you? All ppl want to do is work so they can pay their bills and buy their groceries.
