Here you go folks (just generalized weight classes)
If you think you can give a better list I am sure any of these guys would take up a challenge to put down the proof.
Lightweight- 145-155-Travis Pennington-he has strong submissions and great muay thai stand up. He can knock you out or tap you out. Wrestling, BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing, traditional karate. These are all accets of his. Could easily cut below 155 on a few weeks notice.
Welterweight-156-170-Derrick Francis-Great stand up, great ability to defend the takedown and get back to standing so he can bust your teeth out with a straight right. Not training right now, no one knows where he is.
Middle weight 171-184-Tim Sebastion-great ground game that includes wrestling, BJJ, and solid takedowns. Decent stand up and a long reach. Sharpest fighter in the area. He learns faster that anyone. Thats why you cannot judge him from fight to fight. He improves tremendously in no time flat. Could possibly cut to the lightweight division if needed.
Light Heavyweight-185-200- Donald Neace-doesn't work out right now, but he could could get to a solid 185-190 in two weeks. Great strength, strong as an ox. Decent submissions with great ground control, heavy hands that drop hurt bombs when they connect. The most versatile as far as making weight classes. He could fight from middle to super heavy weight and be competitive.
Donnie "Head" Combs-Great chin, seasoned tough man competitor from those days, and plus he is trained extensively in grappling. Freakin' submitted a guy in an MMA fight with a gogoplata using rubber guard. Unheard of for a guy this big. Probably has more bouts than anyone on this list except Derrick.
All have or currently train with Hazard Martial Ars Club/Dogs of War.
I have listed guys that have one fight or more. We have many other guys that could be on this list if they decided to fight.

That may be so, I have never rolled with Jeff or sparred with him. I have traded shots with every guy on that list and know them well. I'd say Jeff would definitely be up for overall toughest guy in the county from what I've heard. I am not even sure what Jeff's weight class is honestly, so I didn't put him on the list. So calm down man, we all respect Jeff Hunter's skill as a straight up brawler. One of the top guys in the county for sure.

And you might want to research guys before you go posting stuff. Jeff does box and Jeff works out, trains with Ric Ascani quite often. In fact he worked out at my gym just the other night. And he does grapple. He is pretty good from Tim Sebastion and Travis Pennington tell me.

And yes Tim Sebastion is my hero.

Have to agree with this guy. Jeff Would ko me round 1. However, he does have good boxing technique, and knows some bjj. I know this because the last time I sparred with him he was using a sucker's stance and he has put me in a keylock before.

I think everyone is just so impressed with me because of the amount of knowledge I have of fighting in such a short period of time. When I was a jr. in high school I made a 214 out of 240 on the PSAT. When I was a sr. I made a 33/36 on the ACT. I passed the AP Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, and English lit. exams. so learning's not really a problem for me. I'm not really naturally athletically gifted or big or anything and I don't ever work out anymore I'm really lazy. It's just when everybody lists me as the best pound for pound fighter they're talking mostly about the knowledge I possess about technique and strategy. Basically they're sayin that if me and somebody else had 3 months notice to meet at 155 and we both did the exact same amount of training they wouldn't have a chance. Even BJ Penn used to get out work horsed untill he figured out he could beat anybody if he'd train the same amount they did.

I am really not into saying someone is overall tougher than everyone else. I like to compare weight classes, because just like everything else, MMA has to be discussed in relative terms. Donald Neace would have to be considered and respected as favorite in the heavyweight division. He grew up working in logging, so he is just strong as hell. And he has trained extensively in grappling. His knock out power is for real also. I have trained with Donald personally, so this is why I picked him for my favorite here.

I put anyone from Hazard Martial Arts on here just for the fact of the extensive training and technique provided there. Theres also not a guy there that doesnt have huge heart and could fight hard for 10 minutes straight. the average fight only continues for less than 2 minutes and only 30 seconds are spent on there feet. not because of instant knockout that is rare, but because the fighters are to tired to swing there hay makers and they end up tied up on the ground roliing around. I dont know who the baddest person in Hazard is i promise there is always someone tougher than the next. The title of this thread should be who are some talented fighters in Hazard not whos the baddest, the baddest man in Hazard wont even be mentioned on here because hes prob. working in a coal mine or the log woods somewere and doesnt have the time to make a fighters name.

Pound for pound is Brad "war machine" Williams, Jeff Hunter, Travis Pennington, Tim Sebastian, Mike Sebastian, Sam Hall, Ben Napier, John Helton, Donnie "head" combs, Derek Francis, Adam Baker, Brandon Slover, and Brian Stevens.
Best in general is Jeff Hunter and it's not even close.
Travis pennington and Tim Sebastian are best pound for pound.
