Baseball players quitting

Got news today from one of the parents that players quitting has spilled over from the basketball court to the baseball field.

Hazard would have had a great basketball team if everyone had played. Now they are quitting baseball too? Any names of the players that quit?

Good maybe they'll concentrate on things that matter... like learning.

I think I am too good to have to raise money like the other kids. I think I should get special treatment because my last name is Olinger and I am a superstar! I quit basketball, I quit baseball, if they don't baby me and throw me the ball 20 times a game I am going to quit football. I will show them.!!

I shouldn't have to help work or do anything. I should just get to show up game day a play.

why do they have to raise money when the dope heads and drunks on government checks don't have to get off their couch except to go the mailbox to get their money. The young student athletes should not have to spend more time rasising money than studying to be able to play a sport they love.
Why can't the school provide what is needed, that is who the students play for........

No hand outs?? Hazard has lived on hand outs since mr cooper LD and now Greg Wells!! Mr Cooper donated money many times when the school was in the red. There is more to this story then people are telling Jimmy would not hold his kid back unless something happened!! Most people close to Jimmy say Jordan is concentrating on football and getting into a major college, if so I have no problem with Jimmy not letting the boy play. But lets not be blinded there is a black/white thing going on in the city schools right now and that is why the black kids didnt play basketball as well as bj. There side of the story is Big AL is racist? Whats your side? And its not about raising money its deeper then that.

It seems like it is always drama when it comes to Mr Olinger. My son shouldnt have to do that, he should get to do this, they should throw him the ball more in football, he should have got the ball more in basketball, he shouldn't have to raise money in baseball.

All the other kids that play have to raise this money why should he be any different.hey id pay $350.00 for a trip to florida and a baseball uniform.Also he had a chance to get out and raise the money like the other kids did.

Why should they have to pay for uniforms? Let Hap tell some of his buddies no on these school trips in which the school foots the bill and use that money to buy the kids stuff that actually attend the school!!!! That school system should have PLENTY of money to care for the students and athletes!

paid $200.00 for basketball uniforms didnt get no trip to fla. besides that they dont have to pay for them they have many fund raisers to raise the money so each kid has the same opportunity

Not sure about Cooper and Gorman, But Mr. Wells seems to always supporting a lot of good causes in our county and region. More people need to follow by example! I know I'm going to try to do better.

That's crazy, you had more white kids not playing basketball than blacks. That's a ridiculous statement. Jimmy always has some kind of drama going. If I'm not mistaken Jodon quit last year and if Jiimmy thinks he's going to some big time college football program the first time he goes and confronts a coach because his boy isn't getting the ball enough, after the coach quits laughing at him he will tell him to get "his boy" and take him home. If every other kid had to have the money raised by a certain date what makes his special to not have to have it turned in. If he doesn't turn it in Jimmy shouldn't get mad and refuse to let him play. He still hasn't turned in any money.so it is obvious that he thinks he is to good to have to do that. A lot of kids in a lot worse financial situation tuned their money in plenty time. Was is pathetic is that Jimmy still hasn't turned anything in for him. What a joke. If anything Jimmy is hurting himself with the race card by doing this. He has absolutely no excuse other than ignorance for acting like that. It just hurts the kid.

Everyone knows how Jimmy is. And you are correct, every year those kids have to pay to play on the baseball team. We should consider ourself lucky, If you go anywhere in the 11th Region (Lexington)the players pay A LOT for every sport they play. But Jimmy thinks Jordan is above having to pay. And I would bet he will just wait until someone else pays or raises the money for Jordan. He will never mention it, say thanks, because he thinks people owes them.

Jimmy is such a baby. It does sound like him thinking they are to good to have to pay or raise the money for Jordan to play baseball. Every year they have to raise the money, this year is no different. But he whines about everything, in every sport.

Funny thing is this was all bs and someone being jealous of Jordan trying to stir things up!! And yeah its true more white kids didnt play than black kids on the bball team because there is MORE WHITES IN THE SCHOOL!! But you obviously have NOOOOO idea what you are talking about, just racist white jealous parents starting this thread!! Sad there are parents like this around our programs in 2012!!!
