I've been wondering the same. My hours have been cut at work and it seems like nobody wants to give anyone a chance anymore. I'm a college graduate and I am an extremely hard worker.... Just looking for a decent paying full/time job!

No one is hiring. We are in serious trouble here in eastern ky. I predict lots if people will commit suicide this year. People are losing everything they have worked for and just can't deal with it any longer.

Monkey Punch, Subway, UPS, Hazard ARH for Aides, Community Trust Bank for Teller, ARH Pharmacy Tech, ResCare, Dollar Tree (managers), Rue 21, Sykes, Rent-a-Center, 84 Lumber, Dollar General, Applebee's, Big Blue Smokehouse, JC Penney, Pizza Hut, CVS, Housing Developmental Alliance, LKLP, Family Dollar, McDonald's, Autozone, Hardee's, just to name a few. My advice to you is if none of these jobs are good enough for you, go back to school, get certified in something. Get a license or degree.

Jobs, do you know how many people put in applications for these jobs online, which is the only way of submitting applications these days, and never hear a word back from all of these places? I would say the number of people seeking gainful employment but are unable to obtain said employment is at an all time high in this country. That being said, I am a very smart hard-working young man who is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and if any potential employers happen to read this I would love to get in touch with you!

You are correct. Also, many of the places named are not hiring...I have actually went in and ask. I have a job, but am looking for a second job.

Trust me, you wouldn't want to work for the kind of people that read this site.

Do you know how many people put in applications online? It is virtually impossible to get back to every single individual one. They pick out the most qualified, usually ones with a good work history, good background check, good references, and ones who actually seem interested in the job. You have to stand out, you can't just do a boring, blaze' application and get lost in thousands if applications then get pissed that you never hear anything. And yes, I do know for a fact that all of these places are hiring, maybe it's just you :/

But how many of those places are hiring full time and give benefits? How many pay a living wage? By that I mean at least ten dollars an hour? Sykes would be the only one mention that comes near that. I know they pay nine an hour and do have benefits and full time. Plus there are a lot of people like myself that are capable of working but just can't stand on thier feet for long periods of time. I am not disabled, but am not able to stand on my feet for long periods of time due to medical problems.

Do you not understand what a salary position like that would really be like? You might get 20,000.00 a year but you would be working seven days a week and no telling how many hours at a stretch. You are management and you don't get regular hours or a regular schedule. You work when the company needs you and you are at thier beck and call. Unless you live really close it isn't worth your time.
