Is this a good company to work for? I don't know much about them and would like some information on them. Where are their jobs? What do they pay? Will they work long? Please tell.

I know someone who works for Kentucky Fuels and they're an excellent company. He works at the Bull Creek mine in Prestonsburg. They have a day shift and a night shift and they work 4 on and 4 off. The pay is 24.50 an hour, 11 hours a day so you get 44 hours a week. They also give out very generous safety and performance bonuses. My friend has worked there for almost a year and has gotten more bonuses than I can count. Absolutely the best coal company he has ever worked for and they will definitely be in business for awhile. Great foremans too!

Well, all that sounds pretty good. I know they have a hiring freeze on right now, but will be hiring a few here shortly. Hopefully, I'll be one of them.$24.50 is a great pay wage. More money and less hours. Hell yeah!!!

Even if they drop it to 18 they will work 5 ten hr days and prob 8 on sat so they will make about the same, probably be some jobs lost though, they wont need 2 night shifts and 2 day shifts crews will cost some jobs unless they have a permit and more coal to keep them working.

Horrible place to work. 17.00 an hour insurance sucks if you are lucky enough to get it. You work two days evening shift, off Sat. Work Sunday and Monday day shift, do not get paid for lunch, so you work about 11 hours and all the overtime you are allowed is four hours..Been laying and off and payroll checks have been bouncing like a rubber ball..

Oh and one more thing the company is owned by a billionaire, one of the wealthiest men in the USA. James (Jim) Justice who owns the Greenbrier located in White Sulphur Springs, WV. Seems like he could provide his employees with better pay and better insurance. He has lawsuits against him every where..I guess those of them who have the money are always going to have it..lol

Why aren't they paying their coal taxes for their coal leases? Causing people to have liens put on their property.

They have some workers that will cause accidents eventually, they need to give random drug test!
