I think it is the sorriest school ever built. We sent my little boy there for about 4 months and he hated it. The kindergarten teachers do not even keep up with their children. We went to pick him up of the evenings on numerous occasions and they would bring out every child in the class but mine. When asked where he was they would have to go look for him for about 10 minutes. They wouldn't even let u enter the building to help look for him. Sorry ass school. They don't help the kids much either. Too much politics also.

Big creek. All the teachers genuinely care about the students. A lot of them have been there for a decade or so. Good people.

You can't be serious.... the city schools.... My grandkids live in the city and they are driven everyday to the county school { AB and Perry Central. I have worked with the city long enough to know that my children and now grandchildren would never attend the city school systems. Of course if you have never been behind the scenes you couldn't know but believe me I know. Say whatever you want about the county it still beats the heck out of the city system.

Why do you ask ? Did your kid do something and get corrected and now your mad? So now you are gonna start a thread hoping others will join in and bash and agree with you. I sure hope not . Nothing makes me sicker than parents that belive their kids can do no wrong but, when they do they wanna blame everybody else, which in turn teaches their child to have no respect towards teachers.

A.B. Combs is a horrible school, and Dennis.C. Wooton doesn't give a Damn if your on a sign out sheet or not, anyone can pick up your children. Those are the facts. Oh, and not to mention the fact that the teachers don't teach 'em sh*t !

my kids aren't old enough for school right now, but when they do get old enough I am sending them to either Hazard Christian Academy or Wabaco Christian Academy, they may not give the best education, but I think they would give the better quality of education, and teach my children good values, which is seriously lacking around here...

I heard Wabaco might close...they are not credited by the state and even if you receive a diploma from there, it isn't recognized by colleges. You still have to pay to take the GED.

Every school has good and bad points. It is up to the parents to stay in touch with their child's teachers on their progress and to know what is going on at the school. Parents being involved make the diffence in their child's education. In this day of technology there is no reason a parent can't stay in touch with the teacher and school.
Don't wait until there is a problem be a regular sight and voice. This stops problems before they get out of hand. There is not a school any where in the world that someone has not had a problem with, so bad mouthing a school solves nothing.
Being involed does!!!!!!!!!!
