Walmart for the most part, (unless you use it unwisely) can not make or break you to the extent that a car payment and insurance can. Especially on something that is over priced and over rated. I agree that the price mark-up is probably miniscule as you say but buying a car is a little more important than toilet paper. I have never tried to deal with Clutts myself. Only because I have heard nothing but bad stuff about them. No doubt, they are no worse than any other dealers around here but none-the-less, I go elsewhere.

Tim Shorts is just as bad as the rest of the dealers. Just ask the person who bought the "quality" used explorer there a couple months ago and they have already had to put in a new transmission, 2 goosenecks and a power steering pump.
All these car dealers will benefit themselves. They could care less that you get a good car or not as long as their billfolds are lined.

Ah, let's give the car guys a break... Who goes to Wal-Mart and haggles?
I don't have to. If I take something out of the parking lot, and a week later find out it doesn't operate correctly - WalMart will give me my full refund back hassle free. Kevin must have posted that comment???

I love Clutts auto sales. I've bought all my cars there and WOULDN'T go anywhere else. The staff is so friendly. When you take a test drive, you feel like you are going on a joy ride with friends. They are knowledgeable about the vehicles they have on their lot and they'll answer any questions you might have. They work real well with your credit. I don't think that they turn anybody away for inability to pay. I bet if somebody even walked in there having a real rough time, they'd GIVE them a car--that's the kind of stand up people at Clutt's. They don't think about just the sell, but they think about you as a person. One of em called me after my triple bypass to check on me. I thought that was awful nice. I told my wife and she about had a heart attack herself. You just don't see customer service like that this day in age. So folks, if you need a car. PLEASE go to Clutt's. They'll hook you up. Ask for John--he's the best they got. That man somehow knows every specs for every car. He must have a photographic memory. Me an my wife would quiz him about year and model and such and he'd always get it right. We got a kick out of it, and he was happy to play along and make an elderly couple's day. I'm sure there were a million things he would have rather been doing by he talked with us for over 2 hours. He showed my wife how to adjust her rearview mirror that had been stuck in her old car. He touched it and it miraculously came unstuck. It was on the car we drove in there in---not the car we were looking to buy. I said to my wife if he'd help with a car that he isn't trying to sell he is a hell of a guy.
