listen, all your gonna do is jinx your MAN and cause him to lose his oh so dreadful job, Do you think paul jackson knows him individually to know he is a christian, im a strong believer in god, and i have respect for christians but ill tell you right now that if you EXPECT every single person in this world to automatically assume you are a christian and hold their language just for you then, i feel for you because you will be worn out by the time you get 80 years old.. send him to work with IM A CHRISTIAN DO NOT CURSE AROUND ME. wrote across his head, thats something you have to deal with when you work with other people.. The world isnt gonna just do as you please.... Be thankful he has a job and tell him the same thing...there is plenty of hard working men out here that have families and cant get a job like our men has.. i would say that your MAN would have a big one if he found out you got on here talking about something like this!

I have an ex hubby that works there and I've never known anyone being that way but sometimes we don't know everything. I know Paul Jackson and from what I know of him he's a kool guy...but that's my opinion. They usually every year send their employees to dollywood and have parties at christmas they don't have to do this but they do. I know everyone has their opinion bout stuff but I in my opinion like the people there they were good to me when I was married to my ex but i look at it like this at least it's a job it would be worse if your hubby didn't have a job at all I'm not judging just giving my opinion. If they are treating him disrespectfully he should call tampa I probably would

Justice?? Who is this retard? I will assume you're some rainbow warrior fag tree hugger that IS using "power" to get on the computer you most likely stole from your neighbor. Maybe I'm wrong, but again I have to assume you believe in "alternative" energy sources like solar panels and wind turbines. If you think for a second a windmill is the solution to all your problems, I've got something for ya to blow on as a test ,,|,,

Whoever that was that you responded to, well.. couldn't spell... but I'll tell you I hate coal and I am not a treehugger at all. Why can't we just have our own opinions about stuff without people talking sh*t to us?

REGUARDLESS... I can still hate it. People can come and go... treehugger, coal keeps the lights on, coal is our future, friends of coal, and the popular..."IF YOU HATE COAL SO MUCH GET YOUR ELECTRICITY DISCONNECTED AND LIVE IN THE DARK". But you know what I still hate it, I know there are other sources of energy out there and hopefully in my lifetime I will get to see some in this area. All I'm saying is the more people come and say stupid stuff to those of us against it, we FEED off of it. I honestly get a kick out of it when I ruffle feathers and everyone else does too. Not saying that what I say isn't my true opinion, because it is or I wouldn't be saying it, but... to be honest we say more because we see stuff about coal everyday. So I mean it's only fair that we get to say our piece, you know the free speech and all.

You do have the right to say and hate what u want to. That's. Common knowledge. However, u can't expect us that depend on coal as our ONLY source of income not to give our opinion as well. If it weren't for coal this town would be a ghost town. We shop, eat, and live on Hazard and that provides revenue for other businesses to grow. In a perfect world jobs r plentiful but here in Hazard coal is all we have. It's obvious u don't depend on the coal industry, but whatever ur occupation, I'm sure my husband and his hard workin co-workers' paychecks have trickled down the system so u can afford the necessities to live.

Many times in history coal companies have came into areas took all the resources they have then they will pack up and leave you setting there in the dark with no jobs, food, housing anything. They dont care about you or your family. One day they'll do it here AGAIN.....ask your old timers

What you don't understand is coal is going to turn Hazard into a ghost town. They continue to buy land to get the coal from, eventually they'll flatten this place and there will be nothing left, yes you're getting money but it is getting rid of the area I was born and raised in. I mean flatten it if you want but you're going to have to move off eventually.

Also, why would someone want to risk their lives for the almighty dollar?

I understand what u r sayin. I love living here. My husband is a 3 rd generation coal miner. I've been told we have enough coal to last over 50 yes, but that doesn't mean we want our son to grow up to be a miner. Hopefully coal will last long enough for us to get him thru college.

To provide for their families.

Little Squid no disrespect intended here. But do you work? Support a family? Coal is what keeps Eastern Kentucky alive. If these hard working men want to put there lives in danger to feed their familys, I say God bless them. My grandfather did it and if you are from around here I am sure your family members have done it as well. The problem with people complaining about coal is that you sit in your home and reep the benifits from it. You have a right to your opinion just as everone else. But you are talking about peoples lives here, if you ever have a family you have to provide for you will understand.
